Review summary

Old and tired ship. While the industry has been through a lot, that is no excuse for maintenance and cleanliness. The crew was great and they deserve a better cared for ship to present to passengers.

Embarkation

Delayed 8+ hours because of fog. Act of God but, Celebrity’s communication was terrible.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The food was so-so at best. What tips the.scale to a 1 is lobster tail night. I’ve cruised many times and never seen such tiny lobster tails before. And, when I asked for a second one, I was told it would be $17.99 plus gratuity. Unacceptable!

Onboard Activities

I look forward to Bingo—not once in 11 days was it offered on a ship filled with seniors.

Service and Staff

Met some wonderful staff members including the hostess at San Marco restaurant who went above and beyond. And, Martha, housekeeper for the Casino. She stopped and talked to me every day in the Casino—so delightful!

Ship Quality

Old, tired ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
Very small. Very warm even with a/c on 24/7. Old ship that isn’t being cared for. My bathroom had mold on all of the grout in shower and on floor. Visible rust on balcony. Balcony railing peeling down to wood. Bedskirt horribly stained. Stateroom carpet ripped. Refrigerator wasn’t working. Steward said he would get it repaired. That never happened.

Ship tip

Don’t book the Constellation.

I would not have stayed on a ship in this condition, you should have jumped overboard.

One lobster on Celebrity???? I had three on my October trip. Wonder where the real problem was.

There have been cutbacks on most cruise line. When almost everything is rated 1 star, including the ports, the issue is usually the attitude of the reviewer, not the ship or cruise line. Especially when others seemed to enjoy it.
