We had an incredible lifetime trip aboard the Celebrity Constellation. My adult kids met a few people their age but generally speaking, this was definitely a cruise for primarily seniors. We felt pampered and treated very well by every staff member we encountered along the way. Great trip which we would recommend to anyone. Wish there was an itinerary where you could stay overnight at a port or two..
Embarkation

The most seamless boarding we have ever experienced. Very organized and moved very quickly
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Overall we enjoyed our meals whether in the buffet or the main dining room. Some dinners were better than others but the choices each night covered all meal groups from veal, lamb, pasta, chicken and fish.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Since we only had one day scheduled AT SEA day, we didn’t have much opportunity to engage in some of the available activities. We did enjoy the pool and jacuzzi as well at the music poolside. Visited the casino in the evenings and attended a few of the shows. We visited a new port each day so our time was limited on the ship. Wish we had more time to have enjoyed it further.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Went to 2 comedy shows and a musical show, they were all very good. There was a 5 piece female band called Magnifica and they performed at poolside as well as some of the clubs at night. They had a silent disco night where everyone wore headphones and you could listen to a few different choices of music. It was pretty funny watching people dancing and singing to different tunes. The DJ and our Cruise Director Patrick were wonderful
Service and Staff

We had the best waitress Candida in the main dining room. She was very attentive and became very in tune with what we liked, etc. We also had Ivana who was our wine sommelier. She surprised us with different wines each night as we trusted her taste. She was spot on! Wonderful experience in the main dining room. Our room was always clean and refreshed a few times a day. We had an amazing poolside bar attendant named Gede. His service provided to us was above and beyond. All those mentioned really helped to make our trip just the BEST!!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was scheduled to be refurbished prior to COVID and it was one of the main reasons we selected the Constellation. We knew it was a smaller, older ship but expected it to be updated. Due to COVID, it was not able to be updated. But honestly, everything looked pretty decent to us. It was easy to navigate since it was a smaller ship.
Cabin / Stateroom

We had 2 people in our cabin and we had ample space to store several large pieces of luggage either in the closets or under the bed. We were comfortable with the size and we didn’t feel so closed in. On previous cruises, we felt the showers were very tight and you couldn’t move around, but wasn’t the case here. Plenty of drawers and hangers in the closet to accommodate our clothes
Did an excursion near the town of OMIS, riverboat cruise down the Cetina River followed by lunch at an old mill and then tour of Split Croatia. Absolutely beautiful scenery on our riverboat cruise, one of our favorite ports.
Shuttle from ship to town only took you a short distance. Was a bit of walking to get to the hear of the city. Was very nice once we were there though.
We found it to be a bit hectic at this particular port. We have a private excursion scheduled and we had to take a shuttle from the cruise port to another terminal which was crazy busy and insane. Took almost an hour to find our driver and we were to visit Positano, Sorrento and Pompeii. Due to a late start of our tour, our time at the different locations were cut a bit short. That being said, the Amalfi Coast was just a beautiful as you see on a postcard. Visiting Pompeii was interesting because of the history but we personally didn’t feel the need to spend much time there. Overall we wish we had more time to visit these locations.
We did a private excursion which was highlights of Rome. We had wonderful time with the best driver and tour guide. Made sure to visit all they key spots in Rome!! Unfortunately, we wish we had more than one day to visit all the sights.
Went on an excursion to Florence and Pisa. Spent probably over 4 hours round trip as it was Highlights of Florence & Pisa. We felt it was too much time on the bus and we didn’t really get to see much of Florence. Our time in Pisa was sufficient as there wasn’t much to see other than the Leaning Tower and a few cathedrals. Again, wish we had more time in Florence.
Booked a private tour in Provence FR, went to 2 vineyards for wine tasting and then went to a small town called Le Chellet which was so charming and medieval like. Then onto the town of Cassis where we had lunch right on the marina with breathtaking views…. Probably one of our best days as we didn’t feel rushed and we really enjoyed the views.
We took a cab to a beach that he recommended as we needed a day to relax after all our other excursions. Went to Playa de Palma beach. Was beautiful, had chairs and umbrellas available to rent and a snack bar. Great day.
As with our embarkation, this was equally organized and we just headed right off the ship once our luggage tag number was called. We did an independent walk off and kept our luggage with us.
