Review summary

My wife and I thought this was the most relaxing cruise we had ever taken, and at a bargain fare. We did not eat in the specialty restaurants, but found the main dining room and buffet food fairly good, the entertainment consistently entertaining, and lectures on the history of Rome and great trials interesting (though we did not attend those about modern aviation). We had not previously been to the three ports we visited on this cruise, but they were good choices, and we would in particular enjoy spending time on Madeira again. The Constellation is a very steady ship, and we encountered only one day with any rolling to speak of.

Located quite a bit forward, but did not notice any significant additional motion because of it. Comfortable bed, and with the ocean motion, slept like a baby. Thought about getting a balcony cabin, but really did not miss it.

Ship tip

At least on this cruise, there were often very good late night shows in the lounge top forward (I forgot the name of the room). Get there early or you may not get a seat at all!
