Review summary

Very pleasant cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Rome or should I say Civitavecchia which is still a hour by train from Rome itself. The cruise was relaxed and entertainment extremely good. service st the dining table was also excellent.

The ongoing trip to Rome after arrival via Civitavechia was troublesome. This station could not accommodate the number of travellers. For travellers with suitcases it was very difficult to get to the platforms. Only stairs down and up again. There are no lifts or escalators and the platforms were crammed with people which I considered a safety hazard.

Train station not equipped to handle travellers with suitcases in big numbers. No lift or escalators available. Very crammed platforms.
