The ship was beautiful - very well maintained and very clean and fresh looking. There is a good variety of places to hang out in the evening. The entertainment was very good, and the food choices and preparation were excellent.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Great variety and wonderful presentation. We ate at 2 of the specialty restaurants (Tuscan and Ocean Liner) and both were outstanding. We appreciate the Select Dining option and had great service with great food throughout the trip.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The entertainment was generally very good. The production shows were high energy and well done. The cruise director was entertaining and very personable. In particular, the Acappella group was really good - could have been featured more.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We had some trouble at first tracking down our luggage and the rented tuxedo that was pre-arranged. This was due I am sure to the late change of room because we were upgraded. Customer Service did not follow through very well, but the stateroom attendants corrected all issues as quickly as they could.

We were upgraded to a larger suite which was much appreciated. Very nice room and very nice balcony as well.

Ports of call

St. Petersburg, Russian Federation

Took 2 tours - one by bus and a walking tour on the 2nd day. Enjoyed both very much even though there was some overlap of sights. The tour guides were very good, but the bus tour guide was excellent -- expert knowledge of the city, the art in the Hermitage, and life in St, Petersburg. Outstanding.
Don't Miss: Hermitage was outstanding and very impressive, especially with a great guide.

Warnemunde (Berlin), Germany

Long train ride to get to a big city. Interesting history in the city and the tour was fine, not great. Definitely we could have skipped the Air Museum stop.
Don't Miss: Berlin Wall of course

Tallinn, Estonia

Very walkable city. Interesting architecture. Lots of nice eating / drinking areas with exceptionally friendly local people. It was the only bad weather day we had but it did not dampen our enthusiasm for the city. Very fun and welcoming.
Don't Miss: Having a bowl of elk soup and sitting at one of the local taverns for a local beer.

Helsinki, Finland

Nice city but not as interesting as many of the others. We did a lot of walking again through many of the sights. Walked through many gardens and enjoyed the great weather. Saw the mini-parade that left from the main square at noon to march to the royal palace. That was pretty cool.
Don't Miss: Rock Church and the Market at the waterfront

Stockholm, Sweden

We did a lot of walking around the city and could have used a few more hours. We wanted to get to the Ice Bar but ran out of time. We did spend a lot of time at the Vasa and in Old Town.
Don't Miss: Vasa Museum - very interesting

Copenhagen, Denmark

Beautiful city with very friendly people. We again did a lot of walking, and saw a good bit of the city. Loved Tivoli Gardens, the shopping areas, the pier area, the palace square area, and the parks and churches spread throughout. Would have really enjoyed a 2nd day here.
Don't Miss: Tivoli Gardens

Pros: Variety of ports

Cons: Too short in Stockholm and Copenhagen
