Review summary

As we have cruised on the sister ship (Summit) previously, we were familiar with the layout of the Constellation prior to departure. The ship is continually being maintained and the staff does a great job of cleaning the common areas regularly as well as the stateroom so they maintains a fresh appearance

Ports of call

Cristobal, Panama

Toured the Chagres River and also stopped by the Gatun Locks. Both were enjoyable except for the trail walk from the boat drop off point to where the buses were waiting, which was slow and bug infested.

The turtle farm is a must see. Shopping is good although it's not on a par with St. Thomas. The visit to the town called Hell was a waste of time.

Our Old Banana Route Train Adventure tour was canceled due to lack of interest. We walked around the town area adjacent to the port. Nothing much to see. There is a lot of poverty in that area judging from the people we spoke to.

Unfortunately, we arrived on Good Friday. The Dutch government declare it a national holiday so everything was closed.

Pros: The itinerary which basically rsulted in being at sea one day and in port the next

Cons: Fellow pasengers who were inconsiderate and the cruise personnel's seeming unwillingness to do anything about it
