Review summary

We loved all aspects of the ship. The ship is beautiful and the staff is always cleaning and shining it up. The staff seems so happy, and they always seem to be there when you need them. We told our room steward the last day that she didn't need to make the bed, because we would just mess it up with our packing. We might as well have suggested she hang herself, lol she was just not able to meet that request. Overall this was the best cruise.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was very good, we loved that you could get shrimp cocktail or escargot on any night. The fish selections were always fresh and good. The Ocean Liner was fabulous, we will eat there several times next cruise.

Entertainment

Ok if I have any complaints it will be here. We only really saw two shows because we were at late seating. We do not want to go to shows pre dinner, therefore the only shows we saw were the few that were scheduled for after last seating. What we saw of the shows were excellent, but that said, we would have loved to see more shows. I have chosen early seating next cruise because of this but would prefer late for convience of getting ready after excursions.

Service and Staff

I had the best experience. I didn't meet anyone that was less than friendly. All the staff were happy and went out of their way to help you. There was one guy in the Cova cafe, I swear he was trying to make me HUGE, he always brought two of whatever I ordered and always tried to get me to eat more, lol God I loved that guy!! Luis in the Guest Services was also the BEST. We had ordered a soda card pre cruise and no one knew where it was, I went to Luis and he said "it is fixed, you go to cova and tell them to call ME if they have questions" He was a hoot!! Loved all the staff and hated to leave!!

Ship Quality

There are so many nooks and crannies on this ship, you can be right in the middle of the action, or off in a lovely corner quietly reading your book. You seem to be able to find what you need no matter what that is. Ship is beautiful, very well maintained, clean and in very good repair. The rich woods make it look very elegant and the sculptures all over the ship are also wonderful.

Cabin / Stateroom

We were in a Concierge Class room and we absolutely loved it. Getting a good hot breakfast with the linens and silver on our balcony was perfect for us. The other options, such as fruit and cheese plate before dinner was nice too, but the breakfast was worth the extra money. The room was very nice and very roomy, the shower was almost twice the size of a shower on our last cruise. The balcony had two padded chairs, a table and then a little side table. Very comfortable. I think the beds need replacing and I hear they will be replaced by the end of the year. But our most excellent room steward went and got an eggcrate to put over the bed for me so it was fine. Our room steward was so wonderful, she went out of her way to do everything for us and keep our room sparkling, I cannot say enough about Marta!!! We had a safe malfunction, probably operator error but nothing was touched in that safe, it was just as we left it. That says alot about the staff!!!

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

I always like Cozumel, people are friendly and they love their tourists. We did the ruins in Tulum. It was beautiful there and the ruins were wonderful, although our guide was not inclined to walk, he was doing 1/2 hour lectures in one spot. So we broke off from the group and wandered around ourselves, the ones that stayed with him didn't see the most impressive sight, which is the ruins with the cliffs and ocean in the background...breathtaking.

Puerto Limon, Costa Rica

We did a private all day tour including a zip line. This was the most beautiful place I've ever seen. The city was clean, the people friendly. The rainforest we zip lined through was amazing and beautiful, the vegetation was fabulous.
Don't Miss: Go to a store (grocery) and bring home some Oro coffee beans, it's the best at about 3 dollars a pound. Beautiful

Oranjestad, Aruba

We did the Sea and See excursion with the ship and loved it, it was well balanced and informative and showed so much of the interesting points of this island. We also did the Catamaran sunset sail and that was also well worth it.
Don't Miss: Eat at The Old Fishermans, downtown. The locals eat here, it was the BEST food ever. The grouper was to die for.

Colon, Panama

We did the Locks by Ferry excursion from Celebrity. Again this was a very good tour. Getting to experience going through the locks was just awesome. Although the drive through Panama was rather depressing, it was very dirty there with trash everywhere.
Don't Miss: Locks

George Town, Grand Cayman

We LOVED this port. We did a private tour with a Stingray, snorkle and rum point visit. It was excellent, and the water here is so beautiful and clear. An awesome port, even with 8 other cruiseships in port at the same time.
Don't Miss: Stingray swims and snorkling, the water is perfect. Also the food at Rum Point Beach was awesome

Pros: We loved the staff, wonderful service, pastries from Cova Cafe, the ship, the itinerary

Cons: The bedding wasn't as comfortable as I expected, however I am told by the end of the year it will all be new.
