Review summary

The Edge Class of Celebrity and Apex ship in particular was an outstanding destination in itself. The Ports of call of St Kitts & Nevis, probably my FAVORITE islands, British Virgin Islands. and Dominican Republic, we’re very very lovely with much activities , shopping, entertainment , food and excursions to do in a short period of time. We enjoyed a catamaran cruise with lunch to Nevis, a mountain tour and beach time on BVI and a relaxing pool and shopping time at Taino Bay on Puerto Plata, DR. The food at Tuscan Main Dining, the Main Buffet at Oceanview Cafe and fine dining at Eden for our Anniversary Dinner were fabulous. The Activity Staff, Waiters, Shows and Gift Shop Attendants were magnificent. We had issues with our Cabin Steward but they were handled by management. My wife suffered an injury on an excursion but the excursion providers, Celebrity excursion staff, Guest Relations and Medical Staff were all very helpful resolving any issues. I would HIGHLY recommend Celebrity Cruiseline to anyone choosing a Cruise and The Apex in particular..

Embarkation

Moved through getting on the ship very fast; probably the fastest we have ever got on board in our experience with the more than 15 cruises we have taken.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We had a GREAT experience. Everything from the main dining experience at Tuscan, our dining experience at Eden celebrating our 32nd anniversary, the gift shops, the musical shows which they are doubling down on, the activity people, gift shop staff, cleanliness of rooms. A total APEX of an experience!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Enjoyed several activities such as trivia, watching pool Olympics, crew vs guests volleyball game, excellent Gym, massage therapists and karaoke of which I wish they’d had a couple more plus wish one could’ve sung with the band. Would like them to bring back “ Voice of Celebrity” contest rating guest singers. Stopped it at COVID.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Ship’s shows, comedians, singers, magician were very top notch.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Waiters at Tuscan and Eden very good. Friendly staff all around. Dr very helpful when my wife sustained an injury to her ankle on a Celebrity shore excursion on a catamaran from St Kitts to Nevis. We especially liked the Activity Staff.

Ship Quality

Wonderful design. Extremely clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

Loved the infinite veranda. Very good idea. Makes us want to go on the Edge class whenever possible.

Ship tip

If at all possible be sure to book Cekebrity. We did not have rock climbing walls race cars or zip lines but the food service and all out experience make Celebrity our no 1 Cruiseline. Try to get a veranda for the wonderful experience of being one with the Ocean.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Did not do much here but it’s good to get a hotel the day before to reduce stress. Enjoyed Sleep Inn Dania Beach

Basseterre, St. Kitts

We love to go on catamarans to Nevis. We’ve done snorkeling tours there plus catamarans to Nevis. Wish we could’ve had more time on Nevis. However, we know that the excursions MUST give plenty of time to get back on the ship in time.

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

5 out of 5
We went on an excursion with an outside excursion company to do a Mountain Tour with beach time. It was very pretty and enjoyable.

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

5 out of 5
We pretty much stayed in the CruisePort at the pool and Lazy River at “ Taino Bay” which also had shopping of which we took advantage. We have been on excursions before in the City and at Golden Beach( I believe that was its name) and at a resort. Nice Port.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very smooth disembarkation
