Review summary

Unfortunately all the information you get upfront is not everything you need to know. We will take another cruise in June, 2024 but have decided what we will do differently next time.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Everything went smoothly except for 1 piece of luggage held by security was damaged and they didn't accept responsibility.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
The main dining room left a lot to be desired. Options were varied but most of the food was cold and dry. The use of the warming lights was not efficient. At Eden the food was average but overpriced. At Le Petit Chef the food was average, the show was very entertaining and our filets were not good pieces of meat. At the Steakhouse the food was outstanding and the filets there were different cuts than previously eaten at the Grand Bistro which doesn't make any sense. Water at $4 a bottle was a ripoff. Alcohol was high but the beer prices were ridiculous and I don't drink beer.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
There were many options for activities but they didn't interest me so don't go by my response.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The theater had some decent shows but the music at the different venues was just ok.

Children's Programs

We traveled without kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff and crew were outstanding and very accommodating and helpful. Mustafa was very good. We didn't use room service.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was beautiful and once you get used to locations easy to navigate.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was very nice and comfortable. The balcony was relaxing with the auto window and shade. The bathroom was comfortable and the shower was better than some hotels we have been to.

Ship tip

Dining in the main area the Indian food was the tastiest, hot and not dry which I attribute to the many sauces that were utilized. Be wary of many of the restaurants, wait till you get on board to make reservations in my opinion after you get the lay of the ship.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida Did not visit port

We stayed at the Marriott Resort down the street

George Town, Grand Cayman

I've been here many times. Many retail shops were closed. The tour guide was entertaining on the bus to the boat. The boat/captain we signed up with was not the one that took us out. The snorkeling, star fish and manta rays stops were too crowded and in too tight a space to actually enjoy the excursion.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

2 out of 5
The guide didn't speak much at all about the island, etc. The bus didn't start till an hour after we arrived. The tour was a waste of time/money as the first stop was to a gift store then we drove a few miles to another gift store. The bus then turned around to show us the west side of the island and didn't show us anything but take us to the boat ride/snorkel trip. During the boat ride we saw some of the island from the water and watched the dolphin show then snorkeled...that part was outstanding.

Belize City, Belize

This was the best tour. The guide was outstanding - entertaining and very informative. The tube ride through the caves and down the river was also very good. Make sure you bring water shoes.

Cozumel, Mexico

I've been here before also. We were supposed to be driving our own jeeps touring the island but that didn't happen and we spent some time driving around in an old beat up jeep. He started taking us to gift shops until we told him that wasn't our interest. This was a waste of time and money also. The snorkeling was cxld supposedly by the police due to rough waters???

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
No problems as we moved our own luggage to get a jump start on everyone else. Customs was a breeze.

Assuming pre cruise info and security hold on luggage are related. Appreciate details on MDR. All the best for your next cruise.
