Review summary

The Apex is a beautiful ship with an amazing crew. There was much I didn’t experience but that just gives me a good excuse to book another cruise. I had read many negative and disparaging remarks about Celebrity before I sailed but I experienced nothing but top notch service and product. If you look for things to complain about you will find them but why search out the negative instead of enjoying the positive.

Embarkation

Embarkation was a breeze. Organized and smooth process.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
All of the dining venues I visited were top notch. Service, selection, food quality and taste were excellent. Eden restaurant was exceptional, delightful dining experience. The martini bar was always busy and fun place to be

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The only slight disappointment were the inconsiderate passengers who left belongs on pool loungers but didn’t use them for hours. Ship personnel were reluctant to remove anything.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All performances I saw were top notch with very talented performers.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff and service were phenomenal. Always smiling, friendly, extremely hardworking.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Beautiful ship, some of the design and decor were a little odd, just not my taste. Overall it is a stunning ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This solo category cabin is great for a solo traveler. The infinite veranda added space and plenty of natural light. The shower was quite large for a cruise ship. The only drawback was the lack of space for folded clothes.

Ship tip

Take time to really explore the ship, I think I need another cruise just to take it all in.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

5 out of 5
I basically flew in the night before, headed to the ship the next day and went straight to the airport after leaving the ship. The airport and cruise port are in close proximity which made transportation easy.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
I had visited San Juan before and loved it. However, we didn’t arrive until 3:30 in the afternoon on this cruise and I chose to stay on the ship.

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

Basseterre, St. Kitts

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very easy. I had an earlier flight and was in the first group to disembark following those who carried off their own luggage. I was sitting at the gate for my flight within a hour of leaving the ship. The longest wait was for a taxi at the port.
