I’ll try to help….. book your times now for those restaurants…. It’s better than just showing up. When you reserve, you walk right in and if the place you want is popular that day you may be waiting or resort to the buffet… the buffet is good but supper options are way less than breakfast and lunch I upgraded ( hopefully) to the premium- it was not originally included and was thinking to cancel the cruise… for a little more got the upgrade. It depends on what you want to drink- I don’t like the run of the mill liquor and you get a lot more options and do not worry over price per drink and up charge from the difference in price of a good drink vs run of the mill. Last year they made an error when I got onboard and a bartender insisted I pay $750 extra! Guest service quickly saw what happened, corrected my choice, and reprimanded the bartender

I had the same question so I asked the Captains club personnel. He told me that I would be assigned one of the main dinning rooms for the cruise but could change my reservations for any particular night once on board.

We were on the Apex in mid-January. During our cruise in the 4 main dining rooms, we were told there were no reservations. We simply just showed up. We tried all four dining rooms, however we liked Cosmopolitan the best. We dined one night at the specialty steakhouse and it was wonderful.
