Just did it the day of my cruise. The only challenge is the lack of luggage storage, but it is doable as long as you don’t have too much. Took about 90 minutes from Waterloo to Southampton.

i have a party of three with lots of luggage. We have booked a private van with British Express. I think we've got a pretty good deal.
