Review summary

We enjoyed the ship way more than the days at port on this cruise. If I was to ever go on this again I would stay at the beach area right off the ship and save the money we spent on excursions.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Great, so much easier then it used to be.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was good for most part but not outstanding

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Lots of things to do. We enjoyed the walking track even though we got plenty of steps in everyday without it. The SkyRide was fun and a new experience. Pools are too small and were overcrowded.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We really enjoyed the comedians and the rock band. The entertainment in the atrium was outstanding!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward, Suyanto was excellent. He made sure we had everything we needed and was very welcoming!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship was very clean, more public restrooms needed near entertainment areas. Public restrooms needed more attention. Restrooms need to be marked better.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin size was perfect for us. Shower/bathroom is too small, but it work okay for us.

Ship tip

Explore the ship well before sailing, there were many things we didn’t know about until the last couple days.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
We stayed here the night before the cruise and made our first day much more enjoyable getting on the ship.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

3 out of 5
Enjoyed the beach, lunch was unorganized and was not that good.

Grand Turk Island

3 out of 5
I have always wanted to go to Turks & Caicos but was a little disappointed in this port. Water is beautiful! Tour we did was interesting to hear about the island but not really much to see, would not recommend Calapso tour.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

1 out of 5
Excursion to all inclusive beach with lunch and drinks was a ripoff. After riding through a jungle area in an open truck with dusk flying in your face you get to one of the worst beaches we’ve ever been to. No water sports items were available that was supposed to be included except snorkel but water was not clear, those who did it said you could not see anything. Worst excursion ever!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Amazed at how easy and quick this process has become.

Appreciate your feedback. You only know what you like (or don’t) by trying. We enjoy the areas by the ship (even though they are “tourist traps”) at the ports you visited. Glad you enjoyed your time on the Vista.
