Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
ate in the Lido Marketplace at the buffet, Guy's Burger, and the Deli for breakfast and lunch. Guy's Burger is always good buffet was great for breakfast with plenty of choices but rather wanted the guava juice for breakfast at the fountain instead of an orange juice cocktail that tasted watered down. not a lot of meat choices on buffet for lunch. had no idea of what some of the meat dishes were. the ham and pork loin at the carving station were really great. watermelon was sweet and great on embarkation but started tasting watery on the buffet but the honey dew, cantaloupe, oranges & grapefruit sections, and pineapple were great. bananas were overripe. ate in the Reflections Restaurant every night for dinner. not a lot of variety of entrees to choose from. the short ribs, filet mignon, and prime rib were tender and very tasty. ordered fruit plate to eat with the Caesar salad and they ran out of grapes and replaced with 2 small pieces of kiwi. fruit plate came with 5 small grapes and one night I received 6 grapes but after that they ran out. ordered banana split for dessert but ship ran out of bananas last 3 nights of the cruise so they called it "a split without the banana". only offered the strawberry cheesecake on embarkation and brought out the delicious & hot cranberry rolls just once during the cruise. did not go hungry and still had plenty to eat.

Cabin / Stateroom

Arnold "cabin steward" kept my bathroom stocked with plenty of towels. only wanted him to take my trash and replace my dirty towels each day.

Ship tip

it's a beautiful ship and holds 4,000+ guests so exercise some patience. the Liquid Lounge and the Vista Atrium venues are too small for the number of guests so my advice is to get to the venues early if you want a seat. did not get to see "Love&Marriage" because it was a full house and no seats on decks 4 or 5 and no standing room either. Motown and the White Party in the Atrium was full on decks 3, 4, & 5.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
was out of the cabin around 820A but took forever to get an elevator down to deck 3. finally a crew member opened a closed elevator. waited a while for wheelchair assistance so didn't get off the ship and taken to my hotel shuttle pickup point until about 950A. debarkation had 2 exits but didn't seem to be staggered and moving smoothly because guests were all over the place making it difficult to get off the elevator and walk through the Atrium to the wait area for guests needing wheelchair assistance.
