It was okay. I was very disappointed with our cabin and how they really didn’t accommodate us for the inconvenience and bad experience.

I love how there is someone always cleaning on Carnival Ships. They do a great job and work very hard to keep the ship clean.
Cabin / Stateroom

I arrived to my cabin at 1:30 and immediately smelled mildew. I met my room steward Dennis who initially told me that the room was supposed to smell like that. I told him that I disagreed and he told me that he would have the room sanitized again. I removed my shoes and felt wet carpet. I told Dennis and he assessed the room and saw that the entire right side of the room carpet was soak and wet. There was a busted pipe outside the stateroom. They had to fix the pipe, dry the carpet and attempt to remove the mildew odor with a machine. The smell was removed temporarily but we smelled it our entire 6 days.
The beach is beautiful but the food can be better. You have to use your sail & sign card to get drinks and if you purchased the drink package, you are charged for the expensive drinks, they don’t go towards the drink package you purchased
I would've requested to fly home from the next port! My nose is extremely sensitive to scents/odors. We're doing the ATV as well! It's cool that you didn't let that situation ruin your vacation.
Sorry for the bad cabin experience. Sounds like you enjoyed the rest of your cruise. Despite that, Carnival did what they could while at sea and they could have been gracious enough to have at least given you some onboard credits or something for the inconvenience of having to deal with the mildew/musty aroma.
