Average cruise. Wish I could take carnival lunches and entertainment and put on Royal boats and ports. All previous carnival boats we found to be better in all ways.

Quicker than precovid cruises. Royal is a bit better since you get your card right away.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Lunch was the best meal. Guys burger, tacos etc. Dinner underwhelmed. I had prime rib one night and it was tough as nails and I found long black hair under the meat. We did your time dining and found it convenient waiting only 15 min for a table. Dinner was much faster than on Royal. About 1-1.5 the for the full meal.

Sandwich shop lady made sandwiches out of order and skipped over guests making the wait even longer. Avoided it after 2nd try
Ship Quality

Layout was worse than other ships. Hard to find places. Rust dripping down cove balcony even after washing. They must have stripped some areas in dry dock and not gotten paint coverage as it was seeping out from the deck above. At least 5 different places on lido/10 were leaking water all 8 days. Ceilings stained on lido. Deck 10 was hot all week. About 80-85F depending on how busy it was. Main lounge seats were uncomfortable, tall and didn't have enough seating in either venue. Overall the boat was just too crowded.
Cabin / Stateroom

Standard cove balcony. Royal has better tables and chairs you can actually play cards on and lean back.
Ship tip
Choose another carnival ship unless you have an outstanding deal.
Chaos. People didn't follow the rules and all rushed to the door. The poor layout of the ship means you can't access both exits on deck 3 because the restaurant is closed off so 5k people funneling through one line vs 2. Should have people further back rejecting folks rushing the doors that it's not their time.
Appreciate your feedback. Sorry you didn’t enjoy this ship. My DH says “there are no solutions, just trade offs.” Glad you still enjoyed so of your cruise.
