Review summary

The Vista isn’t a ship I would want to sail on again, unless I got a Havana Suite.

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Ordered Surf and Turf and the steak had very little flavoring. It was like eating roast beef.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5

Havana Pool

1 out of 5

This pool was very small. No hot tubs around it. Had close to 4000 guest and only this pool and the tides pool which is very small also.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Can’t get in the comedy club. Went an hour before the show and there was a really long line.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room attendant was fantastic. Her name was Carol if you get her feel blessed she is very good at her job.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
One small pool on lido deck, the so called hidden pool very small. That’s the only 2 pools always crowded. The main pool had a film on the top, it was nasty.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was small and very noisy in the front of the boat with the waves hitting the boat.

Ship tip

If you enjoy being in a pool this is not the ship for you.

Ports of call

Oranjestad, Aruba

5 out of 5

Grand Turk Island

3 out of 5
Not crazy about this Port, it was my second time and just didn’t care for it.

Willemstad, Curacao

5 out of 5
Loved this Port would like to do an all inclusive on this island.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Getting off the ship was a little confusing, no announcements over intercom until around eight. They weren’t following the disembarkation instructions on the app.

Traveler Photos

Light house in Aruba This is walking distance from the ship. Margaritaville always packed

My favorite ship in the fleet. Been on 17 different Carnival ships including the newest Celebration/jubilee, Vista and Horizon are my favorite. Spa cabins and thermal access are a must. Serenity deck is awesome. I certainly don't cruise to go in a pool (physics prevent cruise ships from having large unstable water pools on the top decks) I've been at sea 7 months, never once thought of going into a pool.

Never had an issue on it. There is a lack of pools and hot tubs, but always had time to get in then. They were hardly busy on the cruise I was in.

This ship has 3 pools!! The Lido pool is the one on deck 10 With no hot tubs…The tides pool has 2 hot tubs and the Havana pool on deck 5 also has 2 hot tubs but you have to be staying in a Havana room to use it!

I didn't really care for this ship either. Too crowded for me.
