Overall good but not great ! The weather was typical Caribbean great and it's seems like an easy job to be a weatherman there. A Cruise is what you make it so enjoy it.
Embarkation

Fairly easy, Had a Guys Burger in one hand and a bloody mary in the other in record time. Was all good even with the dog sniffers and all the jumping through hoops to get on but not bad.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Overall good but not great,it's the typical new scenario in the world just seems less quality for more money. Alcoholic drinks used to be $12.75 now around $15.00 but it is what it is for a good buzz. Food in main was adequate but buffet quality was sub-standard. Golden Corral is better so go by that as a guage !
Onboard Activities

Pools were packed as usual and of course chairs were hard to get but the chair police did a good job of patrolling the chair savers antics. Good for that aspect. No other activities were in our day but most people looked to be having fun.
Entertainment

Went to rock show that was fun and of course the comedians did their usual good job! The musicians were doing their thing, and we did enjoy them.
Service and Staff

These people are great workers and take pride in their work and it shows. Believe me America could use these workers in our workforce but we are stuck with Americans that want higher wages and aren't happy having to work.
Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

Everything good, AC did it's job well, balcony was nice and our room steward (Sue) was pleasant and very efficient and I have to rank her the best towel animal creator I have had. Smiles 😃 everyday. It was quieter than I expected being below Lido and the pool area. It's a good room !!
Ship tip
Be patient and keep smiling !! Lots of people doing the same thing you are.
Been here before and its one of our favorites! The natives are what I call the friendliest in the Caribbean! But here we go with our excursion nightmare! We went on the electric bike tour and mangrove park excursion through Carnival It involved too many people not used to these bikes and when were taken through a crazy crowed part of Punta with 4 ships in port. We were literally dodging walking people and buses, cars and street poles ! It was dangerous for the pedestrians and the cyclists 🚴♂️ 😳! My wife crashed and hurt her elbow and ankle 😢 we had a dnf but the trail attendant did everything he could do to help us and summonsed a bus to pickup our bikes and us and brought us back to Vista. I have ridden dirt bikes all my life and this was more dangerous than that. Carnival did send a security team to our room and made an incident report out and we recieved a full refund ! It started out with an almost a mile walk from the ship to the bike location then by reports of nearly a 25 mile treck on these bikes back after dodging people and vehicles then to a beach for drinks and a swim our friends said they felt like they were in a triathlon. So think about this excursion because it's not for most people.
Went to eagle beach nice as always used local bus transport from port to beach $20 round trip for wife and I. We rented Lounge chairs for $10 a piece so that was it.
Great, everything you need for a great day is a short walk from the ship to the beach and your shopping fix is there. The lounge chairs are free, and there is tranquil water to swim in. This is what most people do in Grand Turk and it's nice !!
Easiest ever for us,facial recognition is nice and speeds it all up. We were off and on land in no time! Actually, using back to airport transportation through Carnival got us to the airport by 9:30 am. We had tons of time even with a scheduled 1:35 flight that turned into a nightmare !! First, the arriving plane had to be worked on and then we waited on a new flight crew and then thunderstorms came in messed everything up we departed at 6:35 pm. 5 hours late, so it made for a long day at Orlando, but Carnival did a great job of getting us off and to the airport.
My mom and I will be on vista April 6 for eight days. My mom uses a walker. Last October we did Hawaii cruise on the carnival miracle. We used the carnival transportation to the airport after the cruise in LA. It was a nightmare. Long line to get on a bus and took forever and my mom not able to stand long. I have to manage both of our luggage and we both have one big suitcase and one carry on that is on wheels. At the airport we get wheel chair push to the gate for my mom. This time I order wheel chair assistance to get on the ship and off the ship as well. Do you recommend us taking a taxi to the Orlando airport after the cruise? Our flight is 1:53. Will we make it? I’m kind of nervous. When I booked the flight home it was 2:20pm and I got an email with a flight time change and it’s 1:53. Later flight isn’t until 5:45pm
As I stated before, overall, the cruise was good ! But having cruised on Carnival for 6 cruises and 1 on Royal Caribbean. Well, RC was my first cruise, and it did seem more elegant and better quality. Carnival seemed to have just leveled off and has stagnated! It is the funship but seems to be cutting corners in some ways, first time cruisers don't notice this. Some experienced cruisers refer to Carnival as Walmart and seems to be drawing that type of people,I am technically one of those Walmart shoppers but I have seen the quality going below that. RC is more expensive and and Carnival isn't so much, but it could be the old saying you get what you pay for. Even though the rates are still expensive, it is what it is !
