Review summary

Overall, will definitely cruise with Carnival again. I'm excited about cruising on the larger ship next time. Nothing will ever be 100% perfect. I just hope you all take the constructive criticism into account to better improve. Thank you for your service.

Embarkation

If you read the instructions ahead of time, this process will go smoother for everyone. Have documents ready and in hand.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
MDR service, food and atmosphere was excellent. Specialty restaurants such as Burgers and Tacos were always busy and very long lines. Buffets were great with a variety of many options, fresh food, service was great. The Marketplace attendants were nice, smiled and greeted us with meals.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We attended many of the trivia's, dance lessons, and get to know the staff. I was disappointed that some of the trivia's we wanted to attend were held during port days when we were off the ship. I would've liked to seen them repeat or held at a later time. Also, some of the trivia's attendants were not prepared or accurate. We attended a "General Knowledge" trivia in which all the questions were sports related, so we left. Maybe they had the wrong trivia loaded. But overall, we enjoyed the attendants attitudes, pleasant, fun, interactive.

Entertainment

The stage shows were phenomenal. Loved everyone of them. The atmosphere, energy and performances were all well done.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Excellent service with a smile. Greeted us daily.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
For the most part clean. I would suggest that the hand sanitizer stations we checked and filled throughout the day as oftentimes I tried to use them and they were empty. Also, unfortunately people leave their dishes, cups and food laying in the hallways, on staircases and in common areas and I would suggest someone clean those up more often because I seen them sitting for many hours and they give the perception of a dirty ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

Excellent room attendants. Smiled and greeted us daily. Towel animals were great and my husband and I would try to guess what the daily animal would be!

Ship tip

Get in line early for tacos and burgers as they were always long and the wait was long as well. Take a water bottle for ice and water.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

We, family of 6 ages range from 16-52, chose the tour of the city and would not do it again. Maybe next time we will just go in the ocean.

Belize City, Belize

5 out of 5
We, family of 6 ages range from 16-52, chose the tour of the zoo and city. It was very hot and humid. Take a water bottle with ice. We ate at the zoo and the food was GREAT!. Would definitely recommend. Also, the tender-boat process needs to be better explained. We had an excursions and didn't realize we needed to stop by the Service desk early morning for tickets.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
We, family of 6 ages range from 16-52, booked a reservation with Nachi Cocum and not sure we'd choose that particular resort again. They Nickle and dimed us for everything, wanted cash instead of card for the excursions. The food was great. Drinks were included but couldn't even taste the alcohol. Overall, would try somewhere different next time.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
It was very hectic. The elevators were so full, we couldn't make it down from 10th deck for at least a 1/2 hour after our number was called. I'm sure a better process has been explored so it is what it is. Next time I'll be more prepared.
