Review summary

Overall it was okay. It would have been better if we got to stay a normal amount of time at the ports.

Overall the experience was pretty good but due to the ship having propulsion issues we were barely at any of the ports. Cozumel is normally an 8-6 port and we were there from 10:30 to 3:30. We left at 1:15 from Grand Cayman and left Jamaica at 3:30. It rained over half of the cruise which is out of their control but still made for a less than premium experience. Especially since it rained in Grand Cayman right up until we were leaving. If we had stayed a normal length of time at the port we could have had some sunshine. If I had known about the short port stays because the ship was not functioning properly we would have booked a different cruise.

I was on the Vista not that long ago and the propulsion issues had been resolved. Can someone else confirm this review and if the ships crew stated the issues have returned or if the delays were due to another issue?

Yup the Vista is still having propulsion issues. The issues literally started with the cruise after the Superbowl and Valentine's day cruise of 2022. We were on the Superbowl/Vday 2022 cruise on the Vista and it was all working fine. They never fixed it, but it goes into Dry Dock sometime after it leaves Galveston. I'm glad it's leaving Galveston since I hate that ship.
