Review summary

Carnival is not what it used to be. Understood, they have lost millions due to pandemic, but don't take it out on your paying passengers! No mention or gratitude whatsoever for returning gold members that spend thousands right after pandemic. Service has dropped in half. No free in room dining or night turn down service is really not acceptable.

System down. Never happens. Yeah, right.

Disembarkation

This all ships need a better system. Due to our muster station, checked bag passengers were let off even before us. Out of cabin by 8:30 and twiddle your thumbs for 90 minutes.

Agree with the other comments that you were expecting more than you should. Service to the cabin has been changed since the restart and actually began before that. We sailed with this crew in January, they were some of best we’ve ever had. Perhaps you’ve “outgrown” Carnival.

If you are expecting Cruising to be back to what it was prior to Covid, you will always be disappointed. It will likely never be the same again. People will have to decide if they will adjust their expectations or move on to a different type of vacation.

Crusing is not the same post pandemic. Cruise lines are having issues getting fully staffed, supply chains still exists and prices have shot up for EVERYTHING. This not the cruise lines fault, but we all want to believe it is. Give these guys a break and let them work through this.

Sounds like you didn’t want to enjoy your trip. BBQ line is never an hour long, I have sailed Vista 3 times and have yet to experience anything close to this. I was on the ship in December and the crew members were amazing! So much so that I keep in touch with a couple of them. If you want your bed turned down at night, select an afternoon cleaning and venture the ship rather than messing up your bed. No, the cruise line has not lost millions, they lost billions. Yes, some things have changed, but the experience is amazing, especially for the cost to cruise. Compared to may land based vacations, cruises are an excellent deal. To everyone reading that may be new to cruising, if you want to have a great time on a cruise, you will. Simple as that!
