Review summary

We are going to try another cruise line next time . We are very disappointed with Carnival cruise lines and the Vista . I will be telling family , friends and coworkers to not choose Carival for their next cruise.

It was not real bad except the fact that the seating area was way over crowded

This was mine and my husband's 3rd Carnival cruise and 2nd time on the vista. The food was not very good at all. We were surprised at just how bad it was. The 1st 2 times it was actually pretty good. They had Pumpkin Enchiladas for texmex Enchiladas ! . The breakfast food was very good at the sea day brunch ! And guys burgers was spot on .

Our room steward was great. The dinninging room waiters was really good. The Italian restaurants service was very bad . Never came back to fill our tea or waters.

Was very disappointed. Had to cancel our excursions due to a 2 hour time cut in port by Carnival with no reason as to why

If your not diamond or platinum it a long hot battle for an elevator or a walk down several flights of stairs . At least it was for us !

Sorry you didn’t enjoy your cruise. @jiminnevada said it best. This is something we are also still learning (and we are also Platinum). Cruising while coping with the other few thousand people who are also trying to have an awesome cruise, can give one a “bad taste” for the experience. Then it seems that everything sucks and a good time can’t be salvaged from the trip. Experienced cruisers just know they are on a cruise…and to have fun in spite of the crowds, noise, rude people, and overwhelmed staff. These are the same staff btw, who smile at you despite the fact that they are dealing with the same environment….Week after week. Stop taking everything so seriously and relax. It is what you make of it.

Carnival used to be my line of choice. As a platinum member I thought I’d never leave. Then I sailed MSC. I never want to go back to Carnival.

Sorry this cruise didn’t meet. I didn’t know that Platinum/Diamond had priority for the elevators. Hope you find what you are looking for in a different cruise line.

🤔 We we’re on the same cruise. Our 19th cruise. We are platinum with Carnival and Princess. 3rd time on the Vista. I only agree with your short port times. (Still propulsion issues.) The food was great the service was good to great. Entertainment was Good. Found lines very short for most venues. We take the stairs 90% of the time. We are seniors but mobile enough to let the lifts be used by those that need them. Maybe it is our experiences that have taught us how to navigate and adjust our schedule to stay from peak periods at meal venues. We feel attitudes can make every cruise enjoyable. Talk with other cruisers. People love to give advice and tips to other cruisers. Hope you don’t give up on cruising and find one you enjoy to the fullest and can rate 5 ⭐️

Thanks for the review. Taking the stairs is always a better option than the elevators on a cruise, You get a little exercise and it’s usually faster than waiting on an elevator.
