Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Love ❤️ the Horizon restaurant. But the Fahrenheit 555 steak house experience is a definite must. I recommend the smoked oysters. The presentation of the smoked oysters was extraordinary. Guy’s burgers did not disappoint. The buffet had breakfast omelette stations and grilled sandwiches. The Rueben and Rye was awesomely fresh, crispy and delicious.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I particularly enjoyed the free ocean camp for the kids that allowed for adult only serenity deck sunbathing and whirlpool activities. The spa visit for a massage and facial are a must for those who never have time to spoil theirselves.

Entertainment

I don’t see any shows - instead I chilled on the balcony.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
The grandkids enjoyed the magic show and ocean club activities. Their favorite was the tubular slide and pool. They especially enjoyed the 24 hour ice cream station. They didn’t want to leave the ship.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The ship personnel call you by name and are very customer service oriented. KeTut was an amazingly attentive stateroom steward.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ships design was easy to follow once you get your bearings and learn which elevator takes you where you want to go. People were constantly cleaning the Liido buffet deck. Staterooms & balconies were addressed daily. All crew members wore face masks.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
I felt a bit gipped with my stateroom as it didn’t have the sofa and coffee table due to the crew stairway directly next to the room - taking away from the stateroom’s square footage. It was difficult maneuvering past the foot of bed (to access the balcony and the restroom) as one had to walk sideways like a crab and my spouse kept hitting his shoulders on the TV. Totally was not worth it to pay extra for the so called “premium balcony” and stateroom. The balcony is only longer than a regular balcony and is not the ideal square shape commonly found at the aft of a ship. The stateroom is inadequate in size, space and design.

Ship tip

One should definitely agree to the facial recognition process - it truly accelerated exit and entry at ship ports. Do NOT pay premium for stateroom 7446, unless you don’t mind doing the crab walk to access balcony and restroom.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
We were told to wait for our luggage tag disembarkation number. Later we realized that was not at all necessary and realized we could have exited an hour and a half sooner. Whil we were exiting, others were boarding. It was very hot and transport to the indoor parking area was a frustrating challenge. The various shuttle areas are confusing and we were in the wrong lines more than once. You hurdler out immediately from the shaded area and pushed out to exit. Port Personnel are not out in the sun to direct you

Great review. We booked a 14 day, Panama Canal-Journeys cruise on the Glory, in Feb 2020 before Covid shut everything down. It…was….AMAZING! We were able to visit places that most 7 day cruises don’t go to. Examples include Aruba, Cartagena Columbia, Costa Rica, etc. We will book one of those again!

Glad you enjoyed your cruise. Consider booking back-to-back cruises in lieu of the limited number of ten or 14 day cruises. We did this on the Freedom in March and it was a lot of fun.
