Review summary

I would also like to commend Carlos, one of the fun squad. He was great at all times when we crossed paths with him. A pleasure to deal with all the time and extremely helpful. Also Luis our excursion guide in Cozumel was outstanding (Beach Buggy Tour). His attentiveness was awesome and we had a great time, This was my first time on the Vista and I was excited to sail on this ship. I have sailed on 4 other ships and will be a Platinum cruiser on October sailing. I love Carnival and have only sailed with Carnival since 2017 and this was cruise #10. The Vista was somewhat disappointing but will sail on her again in October and see what happens. I guess i expected more seeing the class of this ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food was good in the dining rooms but some nights menus were not so great and we only went to main dining once on the 7 nights. The buffets were awesome and always plenty to choose.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Love the pools but it would be nice to have one of the pools kid free. The adults drinking and some behavior is not suitable for children and having drinks in the pool would be even better if you were not getting water in them from kids playing and jumping in constantly. The activities we attended were great and enjoyed immensly

Entertainment

5 out of 5
There were not nightly shows which was disappointing but the music and bands playing was good.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Some of the staff was amazing and our cabin steward VIDA was awesome and our room was always perfect with her care and attention. The wait staff were not so good. Went to a couple of activities and never once did a wait staff ask if we needed drinks, most of the time watching the band we had to go to bar ourselves. Bar staff was probably the worse for their service.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The layout was extremely confusing as lots of hallways and rooms tucked away and not so easy to find. This was my first cruise on the Vista and was expecting higher level from this ship. The design was lovely and the huge spiral dome in the middle was beautiful and changed constantly which was really pretty. Design was really nice.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was clean and maintained that way by our cabin steward Vida. We had all that we needed and as we asked it was provided. It was a little small for 3 people but the balcony helped at times.

Ship tip

First day explore the ship and make notes about the layout

How was the port in Falmouth? I have never heard of this port but have been seeing it lately in reviews. I have a feeling my cruise will divert to this port instead of Montego Bay. Glad you enjoyed your cruise 🚢.
