Everything from start to finish was excellent. There are no major complaints either onboard or at any excursion. This was one of the two best cruises of the 12 we've taken.
Embarkation

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The main dining room left something to offer. Previous trips on the Vista served better food. However, the lobster was good and readily available as many times as you liked. The buffets were very good and specialty dining was exceptional. We ate at Cucina del Capitano almost daily for lunch and they were superb - food, service, and atmosphere shone brightly. Bonsai Sushi was every bit as good and a perfect evening in every way.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Most of our activities ranged from the Brewery Tour at the Red Frog - Volodymyr was unbelievably good - as you would expect from a Ukrainian despite the ongoing war and its effects on his family, to Alexandr at Alchemy and cigars at the Lanai.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Many musicians across the ship were excellent. We only went to Punchliners one night but it was very good.
Children's Programs
no kids
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
In 12 cruises, I've never found any of the staff - from the folks who come to the Lanai and empty ashtrays and remove finished drinks to the dining room staff and the room steward and assistants to guest services. They are always without equal in any other method of travel.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Everything was squeaky clean and readily accessible.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Small interior room but we were only there for a break and to sleep or change clothes.
Ship tip
Download the HUB app before you sail and put your phone into airplane mode. We travel with a group of friends from 4 or 5 people up to as many as 12 so make sure to arrange dining together.
I went to the Stingray excursion and it was a gas. Growing up in Texas and going to the Texas coast, we were always leary of stingrays but not an issue here.
One of our favorites, next to Cartagena anyway. On the last cruise, we learned of a beach resort named Nachico.com. It's a beautiful, private beach with limits on the number of patrons. It costs $59 for all you can eat and drink for the duration of your stay. The food and drinks are especially good. I ate beef fajitas, nachos, and guacamole salad - enough for 2 and I don't know how many drinks - from sode to beer to mixed drinks and they were well done. If you want a relaxing spot to swim, snorkel, or just kick back, you won't find anything on par with Nachico.com
I love the Vista! Will be cruising again for Christmas. Traveling on sister ship Panorama this summer. Thank you for the review. Always open to new perspectives.
