Review summary

Wonderful time. Shows we’re all back. Drinks cold!

Embarkation

We boarded rather quickly. Had a 12:30 boarding time arrived at 11 and Carnival said there was zero wait. We used verifly and went straight through the scanners to the ship

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Usually the food on ships is bland due to so many different tastes being onboard. So with that in mind, I loved everything!! Can’t go wrong with guys burger imo. Always a nice treat on embarkation day Blue Iguana is where I’d eat breakfast and absolutely recommend the jalapeño tortilla with Mexican eggs, chicken sausage and pico Grabbing the Carnival deli for lunch or dinner is a huge thing for me this cruise as I was solo a lot so going to dinner in the MDR just didn’t really appeal to me

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The pool was great! The party was back. I won’t post videos or pictures of everything from that but the deck parties were banging again! Everything really was perfect

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I was able to enjoy the America rocks concert in the liquid lounge, I know so many can’t stand flick the musical but we really enjoyed it. After 2 years of no cruises and not having anything on our NYE cruise due to Covid it was exciting to dive into every bit of entertainment again

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Unlike Carnivals dream class ships this Vista class is now my absolute favorite! I was concerned sailing this ship because it’s bigger than the Breeze and I absolutely can not stand the Breeze. Thankfully Vista was bigger version of my other favorite which is the Freedom (conquest class)

Ship tip

Always do tea time

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
This was the worst part of the cruise. Despite the obvious having to leave we did port late and then things became organized chaos. The Captain tried out running a storm which was causing a low water level in Galveston. Unfortunately we got caught up in it and had to slow way down for Saftey reasons. It was all understandable and nobody at Carnivals fault
