Review summary
I had a great time, even though this was a solo trip for me - a first! I considered cancelling when my wife couldn't come at the last minute. But hey! A week of cruise therapy is good for the soul.Embarkation
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
Lido Marketplace
Buffet fare not so good. A lot of the fruit was not ripe, but still served. Breads were disappointing; stale and hard at times. Many items not served hot. Nothing memorable in a positive sense - other than the soft serve.
Cucina Del Capitano
Did the pasta bar twice for lunch, which is at no additional charge. Maybe the best (freshest) bread on the ship.
Guy's Burger Joint
What's not to like?! Seemed very popular with many cruisers.
Guy's Pig & Anchor
Very good when you need a meat fix, but only available on sea days. A bit hard to find on the ship, but be persistent!
JiJi Asian Kitchen
I had their Mongolian stir fry for lunch once, and it was quite good. No upcharge at lunchtime is a plus.
BlueIguana Cantina
This was my favorite breakfast choice. Made to order breakfast burritos are fantastic, and the line moves quickly.
Onboard Activities
Shore Excursion Desk
Very helpful in sorting out and resolving an issue I had.
Entertainment
Liquid Lounge
The shows were good. I thought the balcony seating (level 5) was much more comfy.
