I would advise you avoid trips from this port. Slow, unfriendly and not a nice town in general.

Enjoyed our recent cruise on the Vista. Had a great time pre-cruise in Galveston. Great seafood dining opportunities there. Not quite sure why you would cruise on Carnival if you think people should leave children home. Carnival is our choice when we cruise with grandkids. Princess cruise line when it’s just us.

We have left port of Galveston many many times with no issues. Sorry your experience wasn't up to par. We are ready for our 3rd cruise since Sept and next week is Vista and haven't encountered any problems. Perhaps until covid is over you should consider staying home with your attitude.

I disagree, Galveston is our favorite port to cruise from. We have never had an issue there with the people or service.
