Jonathan, the photographer, was excellent! I’m a professional photographer, so I’m very critical of other photographers. He was very good at his craft. Shots were framed well, he posed our group of 8 friends very nicely on formal night, and he also got great shots of us on the sky ride and rope course. He was also very nice to us all week. Every time he saw us around he ship he made a point to say hi. All around excellent photographer! Our Team waiter Rowel was fantastic!!! He knew all 8 of our names right away! I am on a special low sodium diet and he was very helpful with that. He anticipated our every need. Also, he was super nice and friendly... always had a smile on his face. We really enjoyed our time with him!!! Additionally, I can’t remember her name, but our room sturdiest was great as well! As soon as we had access to our rooms, she introduced herself and found out our preferred room cleaning time. She was very nice and it was always pleasant seen her. She did an excellent job as well.

Ship Quality

It was the newest ship that we had ever sailed on. Everything was clean and well-maintained, unlike the previous ship that we were on.

Cabin / Stateroom

Very clean. Bed was comfortable. The only thing that I would change was how the closet door and the bathroom door hit each other and divide the room, when they are both open. It made things a little tricky when my husband and I were both trying to get ready.

Ship tip

Try the sky ride!

It was fine. We just spent one night there, prior to our sailing. The ship needs to leave some somewhere.

We used https://www.shoreexcursionsgroup.com to book our excursion; A View of Roatan Highlights with Chocolate and Rum Factory. We were traveling in a group of 8 and 7 of us did this tour. It was fantastic! Our tour guide, Sherna, and driver, Andy, were great! They let us stop anywhere we wanted, in addition to our scheduled stops. They mentioned that there was a zoo that we could go to for $15 per person. We all voted yes, and we got to go there as well. At the zoo, Manawakie Park, we got to hold a sloth and moneys. Our group also wanted to go to a beach, so we ended our tour at a beautiful beach, which was across from Marlin’s Restaurant, where we ordered our lunch, and they brought it over to us, on the beach.

My husband and I, along with another couple that we were traveling with, booked an excursion through Carnival; Lamanai Mayan Ruins & River Boat Safari with Lunch. This tour had been recommended to us by our friends who had done this cruise previously. We really enjoyed this whole excursion. Our tour guide, Philip (with Exotic shore excursions), was excellent. He was very knowledgeable! The lunch was really good too!!!

For this port, our full group of 8, went to Playa Mia Resort. My husband and I booked our tickets through resortforaday.com. Our group is very active so we really liked how Playa Mia Grand Beach Park was an All Inclusive Beach Club. Some of the things that they offered were: -Unlimited International Buffet -Open Bar Includes: Bottled water, soft drinks, draft beer, juice, tequila, mezcal, brandy, rum, vodka, and cocktail mixes such as margaritas, piña colada, rum punch or daiquiris and coffee -Waterpark with 200-foot long Twin Twister Waterslides -Access to the Floating AdventurePark -Lounge Chairs, Kayaks, Paddleboats and Hobie cats, water bicycles We did almost everything there! Having the open bar and buffet was really great!!! The beach was beautiful!
