We had a fabulous cruise. My only complaints would be burning my husband’s pants and the uncomfortable bed, I thought they would be the same beds as the Paradise and it was one thing I was looking forward to. But, to me they are nothing compared to the fabulous time we had.
I was a little nervous after reading some of the negative reviews. I don’t know what Carnival Vista ship they were on, but my Vista was the bomb! We all had a fantastic time. I must say all my boys got their money’s worth out of the drink package 🍻🥂🍹🍺🍷
We made some fabulous memories together and that’s what it’s all about for me. 💝
If I could go on a cruise every month I’d be the happiest person in the world. 😁 Our next cruise we want to take is to Alaska 😃
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Unbelievably faster than my first cruise out of Tampa. When we arrived the previous cruise was still debarking because of a problem with the gangway so I thought it was going to be a nightmare, it was not. We were on the ship in about 30 minutes, I couldn’t believe how fast it was. Everyone was super nice as usual.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

At most meals at the Horizon, everything everyone (9 of us) ste was fabulous at every meal, which was surprising because we have some picky eaters. Wait staff was always fabulous, Roberto went above and beyond giving us some info about the ship. The buffet was surprisingly delicious, I only say that because on the Paradise is was very bland. The desserts were delicious and so beautiful I hated to see them cut them. 😁
We went to Fahrenheit 555 for our anniversary dinner and it was superb! We had the “Art at the table”, what an awesome experience and unbelievably delicious. Only disappointed was that they didn’t even recognize it being our anniversary even though they knew it and mentioned upon calling me to confirm our reservation. I wanted my husband to be surprised that they knew, oh well, it was still fabulous! A definite must for every cruise.
Onboard Activities

We mostly walked around and stopped and watched a lot of the musicians, they were all wonderful. We especially liked the bands that played oldies. Didn’t get to do the sky ride, line was too long and last 2 days had rough seas.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Musicians were all wonderful, played good music and everyone was singing along, so much fun. Saw 2 shows in the Liquid Lounge because I never saw them advertised in the cruise paper. Only came across one because we walking around and it had already started. I checked the paper to see if they were advertised and they weren’t. 🤷🏼♀️ I would have loved to have seen more, but the 2 we saw were wonderful.
Children's Programs
Youngest was 24, I’m sure he would have loved the Family Harbor Lounge but I didn’t think they’d let him in. 😂
Service and Staff

Staff was superb, our room Stewart Yosephin was over the top fantastic. She made us feel like family and the only ones on the ship. She talked to us every day asking how we were, did we need anything, what were we doing that day, etc. I didn’t sleep well the first 2 nights because our bed was so uncomfortable, definitely not the heavenly beds like on Paradise. By that evening she had 2 bed toppers put on our bed and it made a huge difference. She was so wonderful, can’t say enough about her.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Everything was spotless and the crew were constantly cleaning.
Only problem I had was in the laundry. I had to iron a pair of my husband’s pants and just as I was finishing up the iron freaked out and got extremely hot and instantly burned a hole in his pants. 🥴 Unfortunately they were the only dress pants he had with him so he had to wear jeans to our anniversary dinner, no pictures that night. ☹️
Cabin / Stateroom

Loved our cabin, other than the bed being uncomfortable. Our first balcony room and definitely the way to go! We had plenty of room, lots of closet space and storage. Bathroom was plenty big, and I loved having enough shelves to put everything on.
Ship tip
Plenty of fun to be had, all you need to do is walk around and you’ll run into it! 😁
Only stayed overnight, didn’t do any excursions. Stayed at Gaido’s Inn and it was perfect for us. We had 4 rooms, right next to each other. Buffet breakfast in the morning, nothing spectacular, but more than continental. Staff was great, very friendly. At at the seafood restaurant near the pool, can’t remember the name, it changed recently. It was over the top fantastic. If you go there you will not be disappointed.
Took the sky ride to the beach, a beautiful ride. The beach was nice, food and drink prices are expensive as expected. Water was a bit murky because of the storms, but water was perfect.
We actually met my nephew and his family that live in Spanish Lookout and went to Kakumba Beach aka Old Belize. It was great because it wasn’t crowded at all, practically had it to ourselves. Food and drinks were good, had big water slide, blow ups to climb on and volleyball. We had a wonderful day.
As far as the port, 🥴 I most definitely did not feel safe there at all. If it wasn’t for my nephew being there I would have left port and probably would have gotten back on the ship.
Most of us went to Mr. Sancho’s again, we love it there and had a great time. We asked for Salvador again and he is the best! You never run out of drinks, he is on it! Brings them right to the water.
My son took my dad to Chankanaab to swim with the dolphins. They both absolutely loved it! They said it was one of the best experiences of their lives. He is still talking about it. I love that it is a wonderful memory they shared together. 💝
Debarkation was so much faster than the Paradise, but that is the only cruise I have to compare it to. We were in a Cove Balcony so we did get to debarkation faster, we were on the 6th floor before. It was about a half hour to get off after they called our floor. It was perfect timing to get our shuttle to the airport. We used “Git R Done” and he was fantastic, very nice guy.
