Absolutely loved it the ship was great from design, food and entertainment. My husband and I made it a birthday cruise for the both of us. His birthday in July Mine in June. Carnival gave both of us $50 off spa services and $5 to cherry on top. Really get gift.
Embarkation

My husband and I arrived at port at 11:30. We were on the ship and enjoying lunch by 12. By the time we were able to get to our room at 1:30 all of our luggage was waiting right at our door.

Food and Dining

The food was so good. We all know about the burgers which is my favorite. This was my first go at Guys BBQ. I was pleasantly surprised especially at the green.😋😋😋
Onboard Activities

Lots of great activities available to keep you busy. We were on deck 6 with the thrill theater and the IMAX theater. Surprised that there was no noise heard from either theater in my room.

My room Stewart Voltar was great. Room was always toddy and made really cute towel animals every night
Ship Quality

Vista is a beautiful ship absolutely loved it. I previously saw lots of folks complain about the crowdedness since it's a larger ship. However, my husband and I never experienced this.
Cabin / Stateroom

Perfect balcony stateroom for 2 people. I love being on the port side so I can view the city right from my balcony.
Beautiful port loved that the shopping area was brick road. Also loved that there was a free beach walking distance from the ship. Just a short nature walk and bam.... The beach. If you don't want to walk they have one of those chair lifts like at a ski resort. Pretty cool.
Cozumel will never get old to me. I love it there. This time we went to Paradise beach. Absolutely loved it. $3 entry, $10 food/drink minimum, $18 for the use of the water toys. Or you can go all inclusive with unlimited food and drink for $63 a person. There was a beautiful large pool and access to the beach. Beach chairs and umbrellas available in both sections.
Beautiful port just a 20 min tender boat ride away. The water was so pretty. There is currently a travel advisory issued by the US. So my my husband and I stayed close to the port. Simple shopping and lunch.
My only issue with debarkation is the elevator issue. But that will be experienced on any cruise. Time to get off the ship and to my car was about 40 minutes. The line that we were in for customs, the agent took his job way to serious. Searching almost every person's bags in line.🤪🤪🤪 What a drag it was. If it weren't for him I'm sure my total time would have been about 20 minutes.
I agree with you about for the ship being so big it never felt crowded. Only complaint was when we wanted to go to the Serenity Deck there was only one elevator that went that high and the wait was forever. I enjoyed my cruise on the Vista so much in April that I am going on it again in November.
Thanks for the tip about the birthdays!! Me and my cousins are going in Feb and we are all celebrating milestone birthdays 60, 50 and 40 so I will definitely tell them!!
I booked the banners, champagne, chocolate covered strawberries all on
One for my wife’s birthday and the dining room staff knew when to celebrate her birthday by that.
SMG1169 you just call them and tell them you want to celebrate a birthday. It's usually apart of their script to ask if you are celebrating anything special. In my case they asked and at first I was like naw that's ok since it had past. But the young lady was pretty insistent like are you sure you don't want to celebrate it. I finally gave in and said why not expecting the cake and singing in the dinning room. But little did I know lol.
Smg1169–usually if you let your booming agent know about birthdays or anniversaries, they will do something for you. Not sure what happens if you don’t mention it pre-cruise.
If I may ask, how did you let Carnival know of your birthdays? We have 3 big ones we are celebrating this cruise. 21 in June, 50 and 30 in November. So October is good for all 3 of us. 😆
🎂🎈🎉Happy Birthday to you both🎈🎉🎂
Glad you enjoyed your cruise! Were planning on going to Paradise beach just hope there is decent beach area to enjoy without those beach toys in the way...
