I'm so ready to return and do this cruise all over again, without my toddlers. However, the next cruise I book will probably be to my home port New Orleans. I had cruised out of Galveston before, and don't remember the process being as rushed or busy. So maybe it
was just the time of year or number of ships at the port.
The vista offered so much entertainment that I almost feel like I did't get enough time to soak it all in. There was so much I wanted to do (sky bike, a "who done it" clue style game, live music and more drinks at the brewery, Red frog pub) that I could turn around and book it next week, and have a total different itinerary and list of things to do.
Cruise director, Matt, was outstanding, although I did't get to enjoy many shows with my young children in tow. I will definitely use the Carnival Camp more the next time my children come along.

Food and Dining

Food in the buffet area was mediocre, about what I expected. But the specialty restaurants (Mongolian Wok, Guys burgers, pizza buffet and Italian restaurant) and formal dining room, the meals were fantastic.

My children had a rough first day. But after the second day, they were asking to go back.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Staff was outstanding. I gave a good rating, because on the deck area (around the pool) the vista didn't have enough service bar tenders/wait staff.

Cabin / Stateroom

Not enough floor space for two young children. My sister who was a few cabins down (room 2505) whose room was meant for 2 adults (it was set up with a king bed) had loads of floor space. They even had a couch. Our room was cramped with a king size bed and two drop down beds that hung over the king. I was jealous of my sisters room. Even if they (my sisters room)would have had two drop down twin size beds (over the king and couch) which didn't look like that was offered or could even be set up like that, we wouldn't have had any issues with kids getting down and playing on the floor. Or simply just walking around. In our room, it was very difficult to have 2 or 3 standing in the room at the same time.
Ship tip
Download your purchased pictures before walking off ship. The hub app will delete them all when you get off the ship.
Many people had told me, don't waste my time getting off at that port, but I enjoyed the tender to get to Belize. And my excursion was relaxing, cave tubing.
This was the favorite of ports. However, customs check bags for smuggled fruit. The line was very long and with toddlers, not a fun process to wait in. Just follow Carnivals and Cozumels laws or rules (about fruit) to make everyone's time in line less.
