Review summary

Overall this was a great trip. The vista is beautiful and the amenities outstanding. All the staff are 5 ⭐️. Matt the cruise director was the best. In fact he has received an award from all cruise lines naming him cruise director of the year. ⭐️ I enjoyed very much the gathering for Veterans Day. It was emotional and beautiful. As Canadians we too were celebrating Remembrance Day so it was extra special. Food was unbelievable. We dined at night in Horizons restaurant. Never ever disappointed 😉

The staff made this trip 5 star! They bent over backwards for you! Matt our cruise director was outstanding

This would have been 5 star but for the fact that they have one of the muster zones B4 IN the smoke filled casino. It was an awful experience for a non smoker being forced to gather in that area. There is a reason why non smokers avoid the casino. This was not a great introduction

It was ok but certainly not what I expected having always heard the hype about Belize. I don’t recommend walking behind the market area. You are swarmed by aggressive cab drivers, map sellers etc

Beautiful port. Be prepared to put your belongings on the ground for the customs dog to sniff. Daunting when he circles you because he is not familiar with a medication in your bag lol. Besides that a beautiful port!

Disembarkation

Omg. Even worse than getting on. Carnival must recognize that travelling from Galveston the majority of the people where in fact local. A very small amount of international passengers. If you have a flight to catch there needs to be some process to get you off the ship in an orderly way.

The problem with getting on was that it was a little late and then they had to look for two people and make them get off.
