We definitely will Cruise again with Carnival, and it would give the Vista a second Cruise. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Was sad to see our holiday over.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We ended up getting there quite early for embarkation, thinking we just walk around and wait for our time to be on the ship. But instead we able to get through the security checkpoints and get on the ship almost 2 hours early. That was very cool!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The Horizon dining room was amazing food and ambience. The Buffy had a great selection of food as well. Guys burger and the pig and anchor are must rise when you're on the Carnival Vista.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Shouldn't have too much time to do too many of the activities on board with an infant. But I did see most everything that ship had to offer and it looks amazing and definitely want to try it out next time when I'm on the ship.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Our cruise director The Flying Scotsman, was amazing and absolutely hilarious. He did a few shows during our cruise, but the last show on the Saturday was by far one of the best and funniest I've ever seen. He sings tell stories and makes you laugh so hard that your stomach hurts. The other entertainment was absolutely wonderful as well.
Children's Programs
5 out of 5
There was not a lot of children's programming for anyone under the age of 2. They did offer some late-night child care but it did not start until 10 for anyone under the age of 2 to 6 months.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Always got a friendly good morning or afternoon from all staff members. They are always too happy to help you find something or even tissue up a plate of food at the buffet when you had your hands full with an infant.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Always so staff cleaning the ship at all hours of the day and night.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We had a deluxe Oceanview with a bathroom and a half. Perfect size for 2 adults and infant.
Ship tip
On the first day and after the muster drill don't bother using the elevators! You wait for a very long time and be frustrated just use the stairs. But after that the elevator skit a little bit less chaotic.
This was the hottest day of our entire cruise. It's best to stay to the top two tourist areas and not wander off very far. You are asked by almost everyone you pass if you want to buy items from their shop or if they can take you to their shop. They are very persistent and will not let you forget if you pass them again.
Grand Cayman was absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. I would definitely love to go back and do an Excursion or two. Would definitely recommend getting off the boat and exploring this beautiful place.
The port has a wonderful variety of shopping opportunities, but if you leave the area about 10 minutes you hit downtown Cozumel. They have a few more shops they don't have in the port and some great local areas as well. Just know you'll be asked to buy a lot of things you probably don't need on the way there.
The only thing I didn't like about our disembarkation, was when you're sitting on the Lido deck waiting to be called to get off it was hard to hear with the music on!
