Overall, I enjoyed my first time on a cruise. I just didn't like the pork idea in almost every meal. I didn't think the ship's director did a good job with the entertainment. More for kids not for adults or young adults. The stage shows could have been more diverse in culture. The ship itself is good.

The dinning rooms were fantastic. Java Blue and Horizon, especially Horizon was really good. I enjoyed eating there and the staff were good as well. In terms of the Lido deck, the only things I enjoyed there were the fruits and vegetables and the burger place. The dinner selection was not all that because there was pork in almost everything. Even in the rice. I was just blown away by that. Who puts bacon in Rice?. Bacon in string beans, bacon in pasta. I find I had to be asking does this have pork whenever I went to eat there. So that was a turn off for me. I only ate the Salmon when they had that and coleslaw and baked potato. Breakfast on the other hand was terrific. Pancakes and eggs are my favourite breakfast items.

Entertainment

The DJs were great, I just wished the cruise director would allow them to play what they want to play. I was ticked off by the director changing songs just when we getting in the groove. It's my first time on a cruise but i am sure, the director of the other ships are not running from one event to the next and monopolizing all the events. Just because you plan something doesn't mean you have to be everywhere. I think it was the oldiest night or 80s can't remember but the DJ was playing a good song and the director stopped it and started to dictate which songs to play. Made me mad because everyone was enjoying that music. Part of being a great leader is to be able to read your audience. if you see they are enjoying something keep it going. I just find him too much in everything. The comedy shows were fantastic. Spike Davies and Russ were the highlight. Great comedians. The stage shows were ok. They should take out "Flick". If you don't have the pipes don't attempt Whitney Houston.

Cabin / Stateroom

The size was good. I hear people saying cabins are small, but on this ship the cabin was big enough to hold the 4 of us. There was enough drawer space and a closet. The washroom was ok to. I didn't find any problems with it.
Ship tip
Tour the ship. Lots to see and do. Eat at Horizon as much as possible.
Too many rocks in the beach. Like seriously, for such a tourist area, why are there rocks in the ocean. so I didn't enjoy that. The tour was good though.
The local tour was fantasic. The tour guide was great. We stopped at a place for ice cream and coconut water. Then to the beach. Beach was also fantastic. Love Curacao.
Another great local tour and beach. Aruba has the best beach. Had a great time. stopped at the light house and rock formation. A must see. Love Aruba, not so much the little iguana's they have crawling everywhere. But as long as I was in the tour bus I was good.
I’ve seen a few comments about pork in everything. That is kind of weird considering a lot of people don’t eat pork. I’m glad overall you enjoyed it. We’ll be cruising in the Vista next July and I can’t wait!
