Overall the first week was way better than the second. The first week was more of a vacation and the second week the ship filled with loud, pushy people. Was so different. Still enjoyed ourselves.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
There were 86 of us doing B2B so it was a long re-embarkation. We figured it would have gone quicker it the CBP guys came on rather than march us all off and then back on.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food was good since I had nothing to do with cooking it. Ceilings in the buffet feel low due to its construction but it was easier to find the soft serve ice cream on this ship than any other so far.
JiJi Asian Kitchen
5 out of 5
JiJi's is upstairs from the Buffet and even tho it wasn't as busy as we thought it would be the food was good and service was great. Plenty to eat and an explanation if we didn't know what somethign was.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We played a bunch of the trivia type games and bean bag toss. Also played clue. Kept us on our toes and moving around. Had some great game leaders like Cheeky Charlie, who also presented in the comedy club.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Went to the comedy club more on this ship than any other. The venue is bigger and we felt less stifled. Also tried the IMAX theater. Saw a good film.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
We had a good room steward who got the maintainance men in to fix our floor when we felt like we were falling thru.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
The place was immaculate, don't get me wrong but I fel it was too big and too cut up. We learned our way around and found we could ignore whole sections of the ship.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We booked an inside so I could see if I could stand it. Normally we have a balcony. One thing is sure, you are hardly ever in your room when you have an inside because you feel like you are in a box. But a balcony room, I spend more time on the balcony than in the room, or almost any where else on the ship. We had an extra closet in this room, which was cool, but I sure missed my balcony.
Ship tip
YTD- get in line by the coffee shop about 15 minutes before you want to sit. Have your group wait by the dining room while one person goes to the line to get a ticket. Get the ticket and meet your group. Less people to squeeze around if you don't all go to the line. Breakfast- eat in the plaza. They have everything there thats upstairs only no lines and no rush.
Went to Hell and back and got my passport stamed to prove it. Took a local bus for 2.50 each. Also got 3 bottles of BBD. If you are going to purchase alcohol from this port there is a shop at the docks that has a website. You can order and pay on there and they will deliver it to your ship. It costs 50 cents more per bottle but sure worth not wasting your time in the crowds. Or you can buy it yourself, show your ship card, and pay. They will then pack, box and send your purchases to your ship.
Got to stay on late since we had an even ing flight. Got thru quickly and took a Lyft to FLL. Had a day room booked to hold our luggage and rest before our flight.
