It was a horrible experience because I was in the front of the ship on the 2nd for and the waves were so intense that it sounded and felt like we were literally sitting on top of thunder!!!

Ship tip

Do not book the front of the ship!!!

We love the aft of the ship we stay there all the time, sometimes there is a bit of vibration but there is never any wind and watching the waves from the back of ship is amazing! There is a lot more wind at the front of the ships, so people can keep that in mind when booking! Mid ship has less movement for sure!

We were in Room 2214

I have stayed in a cove balcony. The view is usually obstructed and you are closer to the water. It’s just personal preference, I prefer a regular balcony on an upper deck. Everyone is different.

I have never stayed in a cove balony. We always get regular balcony rooms. I have thought about trying one because they are closer to the water and I think that might be something different to experience. I would just recommend the middle of the ship for the wave turbulence on the front. I stayed in a room near the rear of the ship once and we were on the 2nd floor. It was my first cruise and we got woke up by the vibrations on the boat docking in the mornings. It might have been just my experience but I recommend the mid ship rooms.

So then you don’t suggest a cove balcony?

Middle of the ship is always best to me. Any floor. We were right below the lido market on thw 9th deck our last cruise on the breeze and we never had a problem with load chairs and stuff. But any cruise is great to me.

What room number did you have? I believe we are also on the second floor on our upcoming cruise

I prefer the upper decks myself. One time we were below the galley, which sounded like furniture being thrown around from late at night to the early morning. It was the only cruise where we left feeling tired lol. Oh well, lesson learned! Always look what’s above and below you.
