Review summary

This was my second cruise. My first cruise was on the pride ship which I loved. First, there were way too many people. Couldn't even fit into one of the two pools they were so packed. Lines were long for everything. Most Food places closed early. Staff were good but overworked. I wasted a lot of money and would never go back on this ship.

I had a marvelous time on the Vista. I had 1 complaint because I was not informed and guest services removed the charges. Even though it's a huge ship, there is a ton of things to do onboard. I was never board and my kids also had a blast. I would definitely sail the vista again in the future. I love the new upgrades.

So much negativity and very unfounded! Just got off the Vista in March and will be back on the Vista next March! Vista is an amazing ship and we always found lots of eating venues whenever we were hungry! There is actually 3 pools on the ship if you consider the Havana pool!! Pay extra for the Havana cabins and have a pool basically to yourself until the evening! We never waited in line for more than a few minutes for anything accept the sky ride and that wait was probably 20 minutes or so!! Plan accordingly and you can skip heavy lines at busiest times! The ship is beautifully done, staff amazing as usual! Food excellent and for other reviews that say nothing is open well that's just not true! For future vista cruisers take a look at the dining options on the Vista sight so you can see for yourselves that there is many options! And I am not sure about the comments about the balconies and rooms being smaller, I didn't bring a measuring tape with me on vacation I am usually more interested in having a fabulous time!! I never noticed that anything was smaller!! And not sure what speciality restaurants aren't open?? They are open everyday!! I hope everyone that cruises has a wonderful time!!

Thanks Everyone...we ended up watching some YouTube videos on the Vista to make our family plan. The Vista will be my kids 9th & my 15th cruise. I will make the best of it. I'll be slightly disabled due to a recent right shoulder surgery. I'm in a sling for another 4 weeks. I cannot move my right shoulder upward. I'm still breathing so thank God we will make the best of the Vista. I'll respond afterwards.

I've been on the Vista in February to celebrate my 50th with 16 family members youngest being 2 n eldest being 56. this was my 13th cruise and although I spent the first night in the ER my defib/pacemaker zapped me n took it easy the other 6 nights. the nurses n Dr took really good care of me . I really enjoyed my self. my family they all had a blast. from my experiences it's what u make of the trip. cruising ain't for everyone.

i had bad things to say. however just as in life, everything is what you make of it. i had fun and loved the destinations. at least the ones we went to. ( the ship didn't stop and added an extra sea day ) the kids loved camp carnival and had a ball. I'm sure you will enjoy. truthfully I think that for our cruise one of the major issues was that the crew was getting off after our cruise for their break they had been out for an extremely long time and we're very overworked. however my room Stuart was great I swear I think he knew Magic. at least twice I left the room and before I could make it down the hall I I realized I left something. I turned around and went back and mysteriously my room was clean everything was done and he was never seen. but yet if we needed something he was Johnny on the spot. enjoy .....try not to get down and I'm sure you and the kids will have a great time.

Devena, I sail in November so I've been reading and I've heard far more good reviews than bad ones, but I have not had a second thought about the Vista... You and your babies have a great time..

Oh no!!! My 3 kids (10,11 &12) & I are sailing alone on the Vista in 13 days. This is my most expensive cruise thus far and we have not yet boarded the ship. We have been looking forward to being on the Vista after the Breeze & Sunshine. We see it's a great blend of all things Carnival. I never read comments...but today I did. I do hope I'll get my hard earned $$$ worth. I'll be turning platinum on this cruise & sailing without my husband. It's all good...my 3 & I are use to sailing alone.

glad it worked out for you guys. however my wife and i had a way worse experience them i spoke of here. i just tried to keep it a shorter comment. we were a total party of 33 and everyone's had the same experience. Yes there were good things they just got out weighed by the bad. add for the cruise count i habe left of a few because they weren't available at the time, but the app has been updated to include older ships and dates. my wife only has 1 but has been on all 8 with me. she just joined for this cruise and didn't add the old ones. upon demarcation we ran into tons of people that were all complaining about the same thing and this was during Vistas Maiden the year.

Fake News! how is your 2nd cruise and nothing shows up in your cruise history. My wife and i loved the Vista, lots to do and eat.

I agree with everyone so far. to top off and add to the comments my balcony room and the kids interior rooms were a lot smaller then the other carnival ships we've been on. a bunch of the special restaurants we wanted to try wereonly open on certain days and for a limited amount off hours and time. late night food is non existing. the whole ship has to line up for pizza that is masse on small batches. room service was extremely slow. the cruise director was great and was everywhere but still to many negatives. trying the magic next. 20 days till we sail but no more vista

I have done about 30 cruises and will not go back on the vista. I liked the Fantasy class ship better or even the Victory. I will cruise Carnival again, just not the mega ships.

Totally agree!!! Kids were running screaming and yelling, banging on doors at all hours.. no supervision. I've been on 28 cruises and the Vists was the WORST!!!
