Review summary

The food and entertainment were terrific! So much to do but so little time!!  Nice ship.  We had a balcony which was fabulous as the ship is so big with so many people it was nice to sit on our balcony and read away from the crowds and the noise. Matt the cruise director was so fun he was able to engage everyone into whatever activities he was running.  He made a point of trying to meet everyone personally too which is a hard feat to do with so many on board.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Excellent meals! Loved our server Erwin! When we'd ask what the best dessert was he would make a suggestion and when we asked why he said because his grandmother made it -then had this really hilarious laugh. He was so funny!!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
so much to do we didn't have time to do them all! I wish the pools were a bit bigger and had adult only times

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We loved Matt the cruise director-he made it so fun! also Natalie in the piano bar is excellent! Andy in the pub was so good and such a great personality too! So genuine! All the entertainment was top notch such as the Velvet Vibe, the comedians, the Duo, the violinist, the DJ. They all made the cruise for sure!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff were very friendly! Marco our steward was very efficient, friendly, kept our room so clean and knew our names from the moment we met him!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean and the rooms were comfortable. Pools looked green and murky mid afternoon so we didn't use the pools. An adult only pool would be nice.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Nice and comfortable and clean. Loved the towel animals! I took pictures of them daily!

Ship tip

Didn't discover that the Horizons restaurant served breakfast until the second last day! Also the Serenity area is nice especially since it is adult only. There are a lot of kids on this ship so it was nice to get away from them for awhile! If you can afford it get a room with a balcony.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

3 out of 5
Would add an extra day or two to see more of Miami next time. We had never been there before. Didn't get to see much in the short time we were there.

Grand Turk Island

3 out of 5
Beautiful beach right off the boat with chairs and umbrellas for free!

La Romana, Dominican Republic

Took the little "train" around the town. It came with a police escort! Scary to see security outside all the banks carrying rifles. People were running and riding up to the train trying to sell us stuff which was annoying as we couldn't hear about or see the sites

Bonaire, Netherlands Special Municipality

3 out of 5
The beach was nice but rocky. Bring water shoes! The people were so friendly. Did lots of shopping. Loved Bonaire!!

Oranjestad, Aruba

3 out of 5
We went to Palm Beach and it was so busy. They charge $55 for an umbrella and chairs too! Others from our group went to Eagle Beach and said it was beautiful and not overly crowded. Palm Beach is near the hotels such as the Hilton and Riu so that is why it is busier I think

Ditto to everything on this ship..Amazing vacation. Always a RCL cruiser until now.. Already booked Horizon for next year. Tried to get Matt to move to Horizon, but he is staying put. Get a Havana cabin. it's like having a private yacht. It's that quiet back there. Smooth as glass too
