Review summary

The port visits   Loved the ports and all the excursions.   I thought the Carnival Vista was a so-so ship tho the staff was friendly enough, just not the service I have had on other cruise lines.  Was not overly happy with the food and their venues.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was so so compared to other cruises. And the dining room mainly buffet was not kept clean or dished picked up. Plus there were times food venues were closed, so hare to find what we wanted to snack/eat. Plus no snacks such as chips, peanuts, bar mixes etc in the drink bar areas.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

Stage shows were always the same group, not enough variety.

Children's Programs

Not used, so no comment here.

Service and Staff

All were ok, but thought they were not as cheerful as most cruises I've been on. No one really stood out.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Ship felt closed in and small for as big as it was supposed to be, Atrium areas felt crowded. Plus stuff was not cleaned up promptly. We sat at the Frog bar one afternoon at one of the counters and a empty dirty dish was there when we sat down and was still there when we finished our drinks and left. Yes one staff member was picking up some stuff from around the pool chairs in the area. Not good!

Cabin / Stateroom

There were 3 of us in the suite, yet the couch was never made into a sitting area for the day time. Would of liked to have it as a sitting area during the day. Felt the timing of getting the rooms made up in the mornings was too long. One day it was well after 10:30 before the room was made up.

Ship tip

The ship is big, but feels small in some areas. Plus the food, especially the buffet in only so so. And be expecting to get your own beverages there. And don't plan on having any snacks to go with those drinks anywhere on the ship unless you bring them or order things that cost extra.
