Review summary

We took the repo cruise on the vista from NYC to Miami. It was an amazing cruise and the Vista has so much to do on it. There are still kinks to work out that will happpen with time. It felt understaffed and our ac kept going out, carnival cruise as very fast at taking care of the ac problem though. The layout of the ship is not the best, I'm not sure how that can be fixed. We stayed in the family harbor and it's such a great thing to have on the ship, the only bad point was that kids were letting other kids in that were not booked in the th area. At times it got to be a big play room with a lot of horse play in it, hence why the doors to it got broke.

Ac kept going out, but they were there to fix it fast each time it happened.

Ship tip

Go with the flow, don't have expectations. There is a lot to do but there are also a lot of people so lots of lines. The IMAX and 4d thrill theatre are a must !!

This was our second time. Both times we used carnival for excursions. 1st time was home seeet home, it was amazing!!!!!!! 2nd time was reefs and rays, it was nice but a lot of people. Cool pics with rays and the guys were great.

We booked an excursion and walked around searching for the sign. Finally we found someone who said they had just cancelled it an hour ago. It would have been nice to have been notified. We ended up taking a north side of the island tour and it was good!

We went snorkeling, it happened to be a few days after a storm so the water was not a clear as normal. I would love to come back to see the water nice and clear. There was so many fish and gorgeous reefs.

It was a beautiful island and the water was pretty. We did a carnival French beach break excursion and would never do it again ! When we got to the beach the people at the r sort made it sound like we had our own section, I guess we did but it was next to where they rent water rides. We had to keep moving for people in the water and then if you sit on the beach peddlars kept approaching you to buy something. The same ones over and over. A man selling his music wouldn't take no for an answer. We had to all just stop talking to him, we tried being nice and saying no thank you but it didn't work so we just had to look the other way and stop talking. Then I watched him go to another family and stick a speaker up to a teen girls ear, after her mother had already said no. Finally the mom stood up and practically pushed him away. I was so ready to leave that area. Also it came with lunch and it was good but once the wait staff saw our wrist bands they were very dismissive to us. I would never do this one again.
