Review summary

It should have been nice but the incident. But Carnival does not want to refund anything for our loss. I tried to dispute some percentage of credit card but failed. I used Chase bank. This bank is also worse. Finally, I suffered the lose.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
This was my first time to take cruise. It was a nightmare. Someone fell into the sea. All passengers were forced to stay in the cruise instead of embarking on the Cozumel island. Carnival promised to give back little percentage of credit on next voyage based on the names of on-board passenger. In another word, they do not show any trust to refund for our loss. As passengers, we were forced to stand for the loss. It is so bad.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
It was my first time to take cruise. Therefore, I have nothing to compare with. The Asian food window last shortly. Salty. But it is better than none.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
I love the fitness center because there are fewer people. The equipment is new.

Ship tip

Bring a name card holder or small bag to carry card and cell phone if you do not have pocket. Bring a water mug.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

3 out of 5
Crowd, long line to wait for check in.

Key West, Florida

5 out of 5
It was nice. Key west is a nice small town to relax.

Cozumel, Mexico

Someone fell into the sea. We are forced to stay in the cruise.

Disembarkation

Disappointed. I can't wait to go home. The ship is like a jail.

I can't believe what I'm reading. Prayers to the victim and his family...

I don’t understand why this poster feels he has money owed him. All they did was skip a port. Happens all the time. All they are required to do is refund the port charges. He seems more concerned about skipping a port than the fact that someone went overboard! Crazy!

Sorry for your experience.

Didn't this happen like a year ago?!? Pretty shallow to be worried about a measly $30 bucks when a man lost his life. Cruising is not for you. I enjoy sea days more than ports days.

All you're entitled to are port fees for the missed port according to your cruise contract that you signed so that's anywhere from $10-$20. Someone went overboard and you're concern is port fees?!

Sorry that you weren’t able to view all islands. It’s definitely the highlight of cruising.

What was the incident?

Can't say this enough, your passenger contract states that ports are not guaranteed, it's the coverall clause because they skip ports, and shorten port stops a lot for various reasons🤔

Welcome to cruising... schedules and ports are subject to change.. as stated in the cruise rules. You should only take cruises to be on the ship for the number of days booked... NOT focus too much on what ports your going to. Otherwise, you run the risk of major disappointment. The ocean and sea are subject to change at any moment, and any safety issue will cancel or shorten a port of call... if you cant handle this, then cruising isnt for you. ALL cruiselines have changes from time to time... with little or no refund. Ita the nature of cruising... relax and enjoy the ocean and being at sea!! Otherwise, fly to an island and enjoy land. Lol

Why were you not allowed onshore at Cozumel? Was that when the person went overboard?
