Review summary

This was a very fun first cruise. I would definitely sail Carnival again and am looking into it right now! I am anxious to see other boats and to sail to other places!

Embarkation

4 out of 5
It was very quick and organized!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was really good! The only thing I did not agree with was the fact that all adults in one room had to purchase the Cheers package.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The music trivia in the main lobby was our favorite! So fun! The serenity deck was a nice touch too! The size of the pools were disappointing. They were always so crowded.

Entertainment

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I felt like a celebrity the entire time I was on the cruise. From our room steward Suriadi, to Felipe, to Bar Waitress Sheralene and our most favorite Bartender (ALCHEMY BAR) Nichola. They were all fantastic and made our trip very enjoyable.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
This was my first cruise so I didn't see anything wrong except the pools. I feel like they needed to be bigger.

Cabin / Stateroom

Ship tip

Its a very fun atmosphere! Don't expect to be able to swim though.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

We didn't really do anything here but board and get off the boat.

Key West, Florida

Wish we had more time here.

Cozumel, Mexico Did not visit port

We did not visit this port due to possibility of contracting Zika.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very quick and efficient.

I keep looking at other ships but always end up back at the Dream because I'm afraid the others won't measure up. I don't want to be disappointed. We've had 2 absolutely fantastic cruises on the Dream. The Sensation was ok. The Disney Dream was good. But not so good that it's worth paying double for.

We would love to sail on the dream.

Since you just completed your first cruise, there is a world of ships, lines, and destinations to choose from. Good luck planning your second cruise.

The Dream out of New Orleans is our favorite.
