Fun family vacation. Lots of activities to please every taste! Explore alternative venues to eat as buffet area is poorly planned and gets very crowded!.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
We arrived at our assigned time and we're directed into the terminal. We were not given a boarding group number so once we waited in line to check in, we were told we needed one. We ended up waiting longer to board the ship than people who arrived later than us. Just be sure to get a number before entering terminal. Other than missing that number and waiting a bit longer, embarkation went smoothly.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
I really didn't like the set up of the buffet areas. The set up led to long lines and it was difficult to even walk through these areas. Because of this, I ate more meals in the dining room and ordered room service more often. Really enjoyed these new experiences as I usually ate most meals at the buffet.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
The serenity are on the Victory is large and awesome. We really enjoyed some relaxing time there. Had a family mini golf tournament, what fun it was!
Entertainment
4 out of 5
There is always plenty of entertainment going on. I didn't really love the musicians on this cruise and I found the comedians to be just OK. I loved the 70s music trivia game and the cruise director Felipe knows how to add the FUN to the fun ship activities!
Service and Staff
2 out of 5
Service was top notch! We had my time dining and we're amazed that most servers asked our names and then addressed us by name the rest of the meal. That's amazing to me- they serve sooo many people each day! Room steward was asked to supply fresh ice and made sure we had plenty!
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
I have to give the low rating due to the flow of the buffet area. There was a Chinese restaurant that my kids really wanted to try but the lines were so long and area so crowded, they never got to get to it during its limited hours. The staterooms have been recently renovated and the rest of the ship is scheduled for dry dock soon. I still felt the ship was clean and well maintained for an older girl!
Cabin / Stateroom

Room was as expected, small but comfortable. Beds were surprisingly comfortable- I slept well!
Ship tip
Be sure to visit the Alchemy bar! They create the most amazing cocktails there. There is a menu you can order from bit the staff will create a drink just for you after asking what your favorite spirit and flavors are. Don't miss this little treasure!!!
Have a very short time at this port. Next time I will definitely plan an excursion to use this time better. We just wandered around on foot, went to a museum and learned about Mel Fishers search and eventual recovery of the Spanish ship Atocha and all its treasures.
We did a private jeep tour through shoreexcursioneer. Com and loved it. Pacho was our tour guide and he was great, our party of 11 loved our time there. We had three jeeps, one was a very nice four door automatic, two were manuals and ran fine.
