Given that we came back to the Venezia after only seven months from our first cruise with the ship shows that travelling with the Venezia is a trip worth doing. I highly recommend.

Embarkation

Easy and smooth. We were pulled out of the security line by the drug sniffing dog so DO NOT ATTEMPT to bring contrabands on board. We didn't have any on us (at the time... joking), btw.

My son and I just returned from our cruise on the Carnival Venezia (second Venezia cruise.) We both enjoyed the experience immensely. We went back on the Venezia because of the ship and the fun. The shows, musicians and comedy acts were delightful. Everything on board was well thought out and professionally managed. We spent quite a bit of time on the raised/suspended ropes and ramps called the SkyCourse. My son spent a lot of time (a little too much) at the fitness center where there were plenty of machines to work the food off. We also met some terrific people... S'up Abby and Kimberly! It was fun partying, dancing and doing shots with you two!

Entertainment

I must note that I hung out almost daily by the large third floor bar to listen to the music performed by the Sunny Violins duo. They played various genres of music from classical to pop to hard rock with their violins. Absolutely spectacular! (Note for future cruisers: Towards the end of Led Zepplin’s Stairway to Heaven, please hold your applause until the very end!! You all start to clap way too early. Let them fully finish the song as there is a pause before the very end…ha) If you like dancing, hang out at the Carnivale lounge/bar and listen to the Latin music performed by NatyLeo Murano. I saw them perform back during our first cruise with the Venezia and I was delighted to see them again this time. All the main shows performed by the cruise singers/dancers were spectacular as well.

We had a balcony room towards the front of the ship. Excellent views and good size.

Ship tip

Learn how to use the elevators when you first get on board. Also, take advantage of all the amenities and spend as little time in your room as possible. Get out there and enjoy.
