I would cruise again with Carnival but maybe not on the Venezia. Don't get me wrong it is a pretty ship but different layout from all the others.

Embarkation went very smoothly. We arrived at our scheduled time and we checked in right away an went right on the ship.

The main dining room was good. The menus had changed since my last cruise and the food was different, Some things were very good, but I didn't care for everything. We went to the Bonsai Teppanyaki for dinner one night and it was excellent. The Italian IlViaggio was not my favorite.

The musicians and shows were all good. we went to comedy show a lot.

The staff were great, everyone was so nice and helpful as always. We always enjoy talking with the crew.
Ship Quality

The ship was clean and well maintained. We didn't care for the layout or design, we felt it to be very closed in. The Marco Polo dining room was like separate areas with walls and arches.
Cabin / Stateroom

The only downside with our cabin was we were directly above the smoking area so we didn't get to use it much, due to the smell of smoke every time we went outside.
Ship tip
don't book a balcony on the starboard side on deck 6 unless you want to smell smoke
we did self assist and carried our luggage off the ship and that went so smoothly. With the facial recognition we were off the ship in less than 20 minutes.
