please ignore anyone who suggests to remove the service charges/gratuities. Always consider them as a cost of cruising. There are many people who may or may not have personal contact with, who are instrumental in providing you and enjoyable experience. If during the cruise you have an issue, contact guest services immediately so they can rectify the issue then and not at the end of the cruise. That money you pay does go to the staff and not to corporate or the officers of the ship.

There is a 18% gratuity on drinks not included in cruise and room service

you always have the option to go to guest services at beginning of cruise and tell them to remove gratuity charge so that you can tip cash. that's what I learned from someone and I use it every time. that way I know exactly who is getting the money .

If you did not opt to include the per passanger daily automatic gratuities, they will be assessed on each (2 and over) passenger's on board account no later then 2 days before the completion of the cruise. All basic foods and beverages (water, iced tea, lemonade,& coffee) are included but plenty of upgrades available for a fee.

Anything you get out of gift shop. You will also have to pay for soda if you don't have drink packages and also excursions if you decide to do any.

@Scole211... for your end of cruise envelopes, don't forget these employees: the bus people that cleaned up after your meal or snack, the asst. or off hours stewards, the public bathroom attendants, the runners that restock the waiter's pantry or steward's closet, & more that make the passenger facing employee's job easy. If you were at a hotel, these people would get a share of tips the lead is given or have tip jars in work areas.

If you paid your pay your "prepay gratuities" then no. That goes to your room stewards and MDR staff (including others you may never meet). Anything else you decide to purchase on the ship will obviously be additional.
