We had 10 people in our group. We ranged from ages 3-40.

The valor is an older ship. After having just sailed on the Horizon (newest ship in carnival fleet) the differences were striking. Don’t get me wrong we had a great cruise, but I’m not sure we’ll be sailing on an older ship without more dining options again. Since it was a holiday cruise the ship was packed, and there was a wait every time for your time dining in main dining room. Once over an hour. I really think this is because dinner options are so limited. The food in the buffet and MDR is just ok. The steakhouse and chefs table were much better but still not the same caliber we experienced on the Horizon. Why are there so many options for lunch and so few for dinner? The spaces on the ship are pretty gaudily decorated, and many of the events that draw people are held in the main atrium, within which there is limited seating. I noticed that Winston’s cigar lounge (that you can’t smoke in) was rarely staffed and almost always empty- why not hold trivia and other events in there? Most of the staff on the ship provided great service and we had some wonderful and friendly bartenders throughout our cruise. Camp ocean staff was awesome and it must have been a challenge to stay cool since our cruise, I was told, had 1200 kids on it! Holy Smokes! Our cabins were great- we had an extended aft view balcony and my husbands parents had a strange large balcony L shaped cabin, but they loved the extra balcony space. However, we did notice a fair bit of movement and engine vibration being in this location and we were also right above a night club, which we could hear late in the evening. Not that it kept us up, we were exhausted from having too much fun daily, but some people might be bothered by it.

My first cruise and had an amazing time. Cruise Director TJ knows how to have a good time and made this cruise a vacation to remember! I hope to sail with TJ again in the future.

The food was awesome and Cozumel. For a short runaway go on the Valor. As of the time I’m writing this, it’s from New Orleans

This was my first cruise and I loved it. This was a 25th anniversary cruise for my wife and I. The ship was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of activities. Seas were a little rough but we had a great time.

My husband and I had a blast on this ship. TJ the cruise director was awesome!!!! The staff was great too. There was always something to do on the ship for all ages.

We celebrated our honeymoon. One night at dinner a honeymoon cake in the shape of a heart of brought to us. We received gift card to the spa and photo shop. My husband is a Karaoke Host here at home so we went every night to karaoke. Anntianette was amazing! She also hosted a country Christmas trivia and was super fun! The food was great. The shops where awesome. I don't like the casino because of the smoke! Other than that is was great!

This is my k10th cruise and I never had a bad cruise, but I did not like my room it was to small for the price I paid for the room book a disability room because other rooms was fill at the time I booked 1 closet for 2 women I to use my suitcase as drawers because was none in the room so had to get on my knees to get jewelry and other things out when getting dress not enough closets space bed was even smaller I took the room but if I knew exactly the way it look I was not has took it also for being disable a person in wheelchair could not get between the two bed very very disappointing and my sign and save card work 1time but when I went to go back to my room did not work went to get another 1 from customer service did not work had to call customer service and 2 security guard and maintance worker had to fix the lock on the door and this was around 10 pm and was tired and sleepy but did not let it spoil my cruise.

My group and I had a wonderful time. And, to my surprise, I got ENGAGED on the cruise!!!! Definitely UNFORGETTABLE!!!

This was vacation for the masses! ( It’s like music for the masses... not really something impressive, just palatable for most people because that’s what makes the money) This was not relaxing or romantic. I had been on a barefoot sailing cruise and that’s more my idea of a vacation.

We had a great time on the Valor. The staff was wonderful and accommodating. Lots of activities to do. TJ was our cruise director and he was a blast. So sad that the Valor left Texas. New Orleans is very lucky to have her.

This was our first b2b. Valor is cool, but a tad dark and dated.

Premium internet plan did not work as advertised. Not capable of Skype calls or even downloading pictures or checking emails. Do not purchase!

The cruise, ports , ship personnel and cruise director were all fantastic! Cruising out of Galveston was pretty chilly, and things were really cold once the ship started moving, until the next day when we were far enough south did it warm up some, so be prepared if cruising in December/January. Night time was really cold on deck until we were close to Cozumel. I know you are on vacation and supposed to be unplugged from the News, but we did not purchase the internet this trip and thought we would just get our little bit of news from the Cruise ship television. Carnival PLEASE get the Fox News Channel available on all your ships if all you are going to offer is CNN as a news source.

Such a fun time on the Valor! We were on the December 6th cruise which was quite rocky but that was our only issue. All employees were so nice and the food was great too!

This was the worst ship that I have ever been on crew was rude and disrespectful. The cruise director TJ was awesome and excursion to private passion island was great with great food, strong drinks and wonderful funny people who worked on the island. Pixel staff on ship were very rude. We spent more time down at guest services than anywhere. Where charges would show up at random. I would not recommend this ship at all.

Love, Love, Loved it, I’ve been on a different cruise lines before, but Carnival will always be ours from now on. Anybody asked me I now say cruise Carnival...

The cruise was good overall. The food I thought could have been better, but everything else was nice.
