Review summary

Loved our ports and excursions. The Valor is older and feels it. Great staff. Lots of rowdy guests and unsupervised kids and teens. I’d probably return if it wasn’t spring break.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Super fast. We chose the 12:30 time and were onboard before 1:00.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Blue Iguana taco and burritos were great for breakfast and lunch. Too bad they close at 2:30 otherwise I would have had them for dinner! MDR - great staff, the food was very hit-or-miss (grilled shrimp entree had four shrimp - so small!) Soups were good

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We avoided the pools - too many unsupervised kids and teens. For adults, the Serenity decks on 12 & 14 are your haven. Loved Alejandro at the piano bar at night.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Loved Alejandro at the piano bar. Great entertainment.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Kind, sweet staff always ready to go above and beyond. They are the highlight of this ship.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
It’s a twenty year old ship. Time for a makeover.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
It’s very dated. The cabin attendant was wonderful.

Ship tip

If you want a restful and relaxing cruise, avoid spring break. Parents took the idea of vacation to mean they don’t need to supervise their own kids. It was A LOT.
