Review summary

I have gone on 5 cruises with Carnival and this was the worst experience. They over-booked the ship in my opinion. You had to wait in lines for everything, we waited for 1 1/2 hours for the lunch buffet on one of the days at sea. The food was not nearly as good as we have had in past cruises. Activities were limited so the few they had were packed and the spaces were not big enough to accommodate everyone.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Long lines but process was smooth.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Lines were very long, wait time was crazy, hours were different for different venues, only 1 late night option which had an insanely long line because it was the ONLY option for EVERYONE. Quality of food was subpar compared to cruises in the past. Breakfast buffet was exact same foods everyday.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
All spaces were too small and over crowded. Only had 1 main pool that kids could use and 1 adult pool. Event spaces were too small and crowded, standing room only in most locations including comedy club, piano bar, main lobby used for trivia and games. Only space that was large enough was when they held bingo in the theater (which cost 47 bucks per person!)

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Piano Bar was the most entertaining thing to do, it was great. Comedian was good but space too small and you had to wait in line to even try and get a seat, most of the time you were stuck with standing room. And all the shows and comedians started at 8:00 which was the exact time as our late dinning so we had to chose between dinning in the dinning room or seeing a show.

Children's Programs

My son was 16 and not interested in any of the kid clubs

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Only meet my room steward once. Staff in general were friendly but stretched WAY too thin to provide adequate service.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Clean but outdated.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
decent size of room, couch was uncomfortable and they tried to put too much furniture in the space. Bed was comfortable

Ship tip

Be ready to be on a small ship with a TON of people. Be ready to wait in line for everything.

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

1 out of 5
We went 2 days early to explore New Orleans, first night, our Truck was broken into and windows smashed, police never showed up to take the report.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

4 out of 5
Not a lot of activities to choose from but we did the Ruins and had a great time

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Lots to see and do, small island to get around and explore.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Super fast and easy process

Never cruise around a holiday, unless you want crowds and lots of standing in line.

Wow! Sorry your truck got broken into. Not a very good way to start your vacation. Hope your next cruise will be a safer one and you will have more fun. Cruises on holidays are always full.

Lol.... they can't over book a ship, there are regulations.

Not sure how the ship can be overbooked. In any case it was an interesting review. Thanks.
